I read earlier on in the thread that someone had to have something RMA'd and Yihi did all the coordination with a vendor in the states and it was extremely smooth. Personally I consider it a plus when the manufacturer coordinates and manages any warranty problems rather than dealing with a retailer that may be in business one day and gone the next.

Cool. I sent them an email so hopefully they either have a solution to what I am hearing or they set me up with something else. I would call them but I don't know if they have an English customer service line.

That would be me... ;) I sent them a pic of the damaged 510 gasket (more than likely my fault from attempting to force a Magma all the way down on a 1st release SXmini S) to show them. The vendor I purchased it from had none in stock, or I would have needed to go through the vendor.

I just tested my M Class out.. It does make a slight buzzing noise only in TP mode. When switched to power mode, the noise is not present. I assume that it may be due to the voltage fluctuations when in TP mode. It's functioning just fine, and I'm not going to worry about it. I'm certain that Varitube would handle the 1 year warranty quite well if it ceases to function..

Oh so yours makes the noise too? Ok, I'm not so worried anymore then.

My device works perfectly still. I just tested it with my Atlantis on it in power mode and it doesn't make any noise as well. Just in TC mode no matter what Joule (all the way up or all the way down) setting I have it on.

What were your temp & joule settings? And what resistance were you using to test? Going to have to see if the wife or kids can hear it tonight because i'm OCD and just have to know. :D

Mine is at .188ohm 400F on every mode (Soft, Standard, Power, Powerful+) and any Joule.

I hear it too if i put it next to my ear. Sounds like the buzz of electricity flowing. While vaping the sweet sound of cracking juice drowns it out
-Dirk

Yea I only noticed it because I wanted to see how fast I was hitting TC without vaping and that's when I heard it.

I guess mine does it as well. I was apparently wrong in stating mine didn't do it. I built a .23Ω coil with no wick and had my children listen and they both heard it from a couple feet away and only in joule mode. I still don't hear it even holding it up to my head. Go figure old ears vs young ears. :) My son describes it as sounding like the humm of a computer except very low. I expect it to be normal switching of the regulator turning on and off in temp limiting mode but eagerly await what you hear back from Yihi.

Lol. Yea that is what it sounds like. I'm sure Yihi will have a technical reason for this.

Only if you want to have the ability to hear sounds that may make you question if your mod is messed up or not for no reason. :)

For whatever reason this made me think about the children of today that will never hear the sound of the old cathode ray tube televisions sound when you turned them on and the flyback transformer started taking juice there was always that surging humm you don't get with led, lcd tv's of today. Sometimes it's normal for electronics to make sounds.

I've not seen anything indicating anything needed to be sent in or anything. Varitube lists this:

Each unit comes with bar code to verify authenticity, and carries a 1 year manufacturers warranty ... you must complete the warranty card and retain proof of purchase and invoice.

Does your warranty card agree with what Varitube says?

From a different vendor :

Each unit is serialized, comes with bar code to verify authenticity, and carries a 1 year manufacturers warranty ... you must complete the warranty card and register with Yihi.

Vlad,

Yeah I saw the warning about keeping your proof of purchase and the fact that you could check the authenticity code. I have the records but I never bothered to check the code validity. Guess I should do that not that I am very worried about VapinArt selling me a zinger.

Thanks for the info.

Yep I remember the noises my CRT monitor made. The last one I had was 10 years ago.

For those who have more experience with temperature control mods, is better than the Hana, Vaporshark, etc? Looks beautiful, and I have heard plenty of good things about it. Just looking for a comparison.

I have a Vapor Flask, Hana Modz and the SX Mini and for me, I wouldn't say it is better, it is just different. They all can provide me with the same vape.

The only things about it that I can say is obviously better is the ability to go to a higher wattage in Power mode, Memory settings and power settings (if it is something you are interested in). The screen is also better quality IMO and the auto rotate is awesome. IMO it doesn't beat the design quality and craftsmanship of my Vapor Flask (it is incredibly comfortable to hold and use), but it is a close second. I can't really compare my Hana to the build quality because I have the V4m and it is much smaller and lighter than both devices, but it is very solid as well.

But for TC, they both provide me with the same vape at different settings.

Right behind you...
I'm going to get branded as a heretic in this thread, but my new M-Class is my least favorite mod to actually, well, hold and operate. LOVE the board, LOVE the features, LOVE the accuracy.

Hate the hand feel, it's just too damned heavy for what it is.

Is it well built? Hell yes, not faulting the build quality at all, and it's easy on the eyes as well. But after four days of use, mine just sits a lot now, I reach for my Flask or even my Cloupor Mini instead.

And I can guarantee it won't ever travel with me. It's just too damned heavy.

I do not like the fact that it makes all my others seem like garbage. Otherwise I cannot find anything I don't like about this thing.

My SXmini S class will never seem like junk. It's the best mod in my bunch. Well for my style of vaping my P3 is excellent too. I knew after I got the S that the M would probably be fantastic but I wanted to wait till I saw how other people viewed it didn't want to pre order and be a guinea pig. Should have what I want at Varitube tomorrow or Monday and will get it from them. They have been very helpful in the past, it's where I got my S which I will never regret it's a hell of a mod. I am considering getting a Lemo 2 they fixed all the things I didn't like about the 1. Have heard of some leaking though when filling but the price is right. Also supposed to work well with NI200 for now I have 5 Kanger STM. My KFL+V2's have become paper weights I have gotten so used to great air flow they are work to vape. I don't subohm but with my standard build they are fantastic.
