I'm going to get branded as a heretic in this thread, but my new M-Class is my least favorite mod to actually, well, hold and operate. LOVE the board, LOVE the features, LOVE the accuracy.

Hate the hand feel, it's just too damned heavy for what it is.

Is it well built? Hell yes, not faulting the build quality at all, and it's easy on the eyes as well. But after four days of use, mine just sits a lot now, I reach for my Flask or even my Cloupor Mini instead.

And I can guarantee it won't ever travel with me. It's just too damned heavy.

That's a shame but if we all liked exactly the same things this world would be pretty blahhh. I've liked my SXmini m so much I've barely picked up my dual Vapedroid B2-S1 SX350 which is about half the weight.

Edit:
Oh and I will absolutely be taking it everywhere I go. :) At least until I obtain the next best thing on the market.

Twisted 30 gauge 3mm ID 6 wraps 0.08 ohms initial resistance. Magma RDA 25 J 420 F. Working nicely. I wanted to see how working with post holes would do. Had to be gentle on the grub screws so the wire would not be cut off. I will check the connections and the resistance again after I vape on it for a while.
Has anyone noticed any resistance changes ( of significant value, whatever that might be??) after vaping on a coil and resetting the resting resistance? I build my coils wick and juice and then set my initial resistance. I am curious, will the 350J chip dynamically check and display the coil resistance if it changes? I haven't noticed any changes on the display, but if I reset my coils after using them the resistance may have gone up 0.003-0.005 ohms. The display only shows hundredth of an ohm. Purely an academic question because all my coils have worked and vaped fine for me.

I have heard and you probably have too that if you put a small piece of Kanthal in the hole makes a big diff. I think I first heard it from an interview with Brandon.

No branding or name calling,I'm sorry to see anyone drop that much cash on a product and not absolutely love it.
Albeit, we've all been there with something I'm sure.

My SXmini S class will never seem like junk. It's the best mod in my bunch. Well for my style of vaping my P3 is excellent too. I knew after I got the S that the M would probably be fantastic but I wanted to wait till I saw how other people viewed it didn't want to pre order and be a guinea pig. Should have what I want at Varitube tomorrow or Monday and will get it from them. They have been very helpful in the past, it's where I got my S which I will never regret it's a hell of a mod. I am considering getting a Lemo 2 they fixed all the things I didn't like about the 1. Have heard of some leaking though when filling but the price is right. Also supposed to work well with NI200 for now I have 5 Kanger STM. My KFL+V2's have become paper weights I have gotten so used to great air flow they are work to vape. I don't subohm but with my standard build they are fantastic.

Lemo 2 I am also picking up tomorrow. Looks good to me as well. But as for the S Class, let me know how you feel once you get the M Class. :)

I don't think you'll be branded...everyone has their own preferences. The SX Mini will not be everyone's favorite. The good thing is we vapers have the opportunity to have a growing selection of mods to choose from. We should be seeing more TC mods coming out....

Mr. Croak,

I was thinking the same thing so I went digging for my scale and weighed the Vapor Flask with two batteries and a full size Lemo half full on top. Then did the same thing with the SXmini (only with one battery of course) and it weighed 1 oz. more than the flask.

I was ready to see like 6 or 8 oz. more for the SX but much to my surprise it is some kind of optical allusion - its small but heavy. The Flask is big and feels light - "Go-Figure"

No branding from me........ vaping is subjective.....what "trips your trigger" may not for others.... some like tobacco e-liquid and some don't... and etc.... I like your honesty.... vape on.....

I don't like big mods ... that's one reason I bought the J chip to test... gonna build a "small, light weight stealth mod" with it and test....Pictures will be posted here or in the modders sub-forum if I am successful in my build...

Nah its not even hitting past 250f... but i dont understand if its true temp control then if i set it to 350f and cotton doesnt burn untill 425f then why would i get a dry hit?
"I don't own a sx mini"

What you say is indeed possible and there are several scenarios.

A) definition of dry hit. Was it really the wick scorching or just the coil cooking? With cotton it's rare but with rayon, you can actually overcook the coil at temperatures that won't affect the underlying rayon but it tastes like burned charcoal. Usually this happens when there isn't enough wick in the coil.

B) all current TP devices average the temperature over the total length of the coil through its resistance. If the coil is long enough, it might get cooled at the center through the moving air as you take a draw but the external parts of it are overheating at the same time. I've had TP coils burned on the sides and dull on the center and vice versa. If the coil is equally spaced and not too long this shouldn't happen though.

Sorry I missed your post earlier.... you should not be getting dry hits with TC..... checked your other post to see what info you provided.... Kayfun 4's are known to have intermittent connectivity issues due to their design which causes variable resistances to occur in the build.... this may be something that will cause the dry hits... hope this helps...

For those using a Samsung INR 25r in the SX Mini, how manyML of juice are you able to put through it before you need to change?

I not really sure but on a Lemo Drop I think I am at 1 & 1/2 tanks, battery level is about 1/2 way down, 24J - 420º setting, and 13,635.0J used, Samsung INR 25r

Updated.....

I just got home from a dinner so it was in sleep mode for 5 hours. but the tank was finished and ended up at 18,533.4J used.

The Samsung INR 25r battery is 4 months old.

Still seeing some complain that even with the rounded edges it digs into the palm of their hand. This would definitely solve that problem as well as give us a lot more usage time. :)

Nah, I like the form factor just as it is and would use the tube extension if I needed more power or time. So far my batteries last all day and night on a working day since my vaping time at work is limited. On a day off from work my battery usually lasts into the early evening which is fine.

As far as the the fit and rounding on the SX M class, I find my unit to line up and rounded off just about as good as it can get. I have seen some photos such as the one above where the fit is not perfect, but not too bad either. This is just probably due to mass producing a product and the tolerance levels Yihi feels is acceptable. But I am very happy with the feel, the fitting, and the product overall.

One improvement could be on a little weight reduction, but hey my wife tells me that one too. lol

Wow, just tested it, yes definitely hums!

Hopefully Yihi will say something about this soon.....and surely PBusardo will cover it in his review (if his does the same thing).... only devices I recall having noises were the ones with a "rattlesnake sound" and they were PWM devices....

So I ordered one from Ginger Vaper and it has already shipped!!! I also ordered some nickel and titanium wire. Thanks for the tip!

What drippers do you guys recommend for temp control and single coil? I haven't kept up on RDA's over the past year.

Is it true dual coil with temp control is almost impossible?

-Gindu

Magma (Infinite clone) works great for single coil builds. Haven't bothered with trying a dual coil nickel build, as it doesn't seem worth the effort. However, the Magma can handle that too. The nice thing about the Magma is that for single coil, you can close off the other air hole. Most other RDAs don't offer that.
