I didn't start noticing the buzz in TC mode until I read about it here and now I can't stop hearing it :p

Anyways, I've been using my M class for a week now and it's been great. I still don't understand the nuances of TC though. I can't even tell the difference between 230 degrees and 420 degrees F. I never hit the cutoff temperature I set and I sometimes get dry hits. They aren't "I WANT TO DIE" dry hits of burnt cotton, just dry hits where I think liquid hasn't wicked properly. I guess that could be a product of me chain vaping more and/or the thickness of the liquid since I'm using a Billow. I have noticed that I've been going through liquid like crazy since I sold all my other mods and switched exclusively to this device.

No dry hits for me. I do feel like liquid consumption has gone up. I also can't quite figure out what temperature settings and joules to adjust to get that perfect vape. Maybe the experts can chime in. Ive been running about 400-425 F and 15-25 joules.

So - I finally made it home from work to play with my new SX (loves my hubby!)

First attempt at coil - 28g Ni200, 0.09ohm (is that good?) I didnt take the time to care - threw it on the SX, set the resistance and all the settings - 18J, 380 temp. This SX is blowing my mind. On my AVD I have more depth in flavor I have not experienced before.

No humming but my adrenaline is still running high from speeding all the way home...now off to enjoy the night!

Alright, I got a dropbox account just to upload this silly audio file...

This is unedited, exactly as I sent it to Phil... So if your name isn't Phil, disregard the beginning :)

With a good set of headphones, I can certainly hear the buzzing, as well as the hissing if the coil. This was with my iPhone mic resting right against the side of the SXmini case.

so Wednesday night at roughly 9pm I ordered my sx mini m class from gingervape. I paid the extra 5 dollars for the 2 - 3 day shipping. so this morning at 10am there it was in my mail box. cant begin to say how pleased I was with such quick shipping. but since it got here so quick it beat my ni200 kanger coils along with my ni200 spool. oh well. but this is an amazing device. I am completely amazed at how compact it is. looking at all the pictures of it online it seems way smaller in person which is great compared to my sig 100+. this thread has been amazing. could not think of a better thing to spend my money on.

Nice, mine showed up from GingerVapes this morning too

BTW, for future reference and for anyone else thinking of ordering from GV, the free shipping is actually upgraded to Priority 2-day for free on all SX orders...

I just can't rock a pink mod, but that thing does look sharp!

I'm at 420F 33.3J Powerful+ and getting a nice warm vape and huge vapor production. I like a warmer vape so this is good for me, and I switch around depending on the liquid. If your wicking is good you can go even higher.

I can hear it perfectly. Sounds like a high power trafo I used with my electric trains when I was a kid.

Tony

Sent from my keyboard through my phone or something like that.

Thank goodness someone else can hear it... With some people saying they can, and some people saying they can't... I thought maybe we were all on a collision course with the nearest loony bin!

The buzz is a high pitch noise when the display is on in tc, even with the lock screen. Then when I hit the fire button, it'll make a nose similar to a tazer. I have to put my ear against the mod to hear it though. I never noticed it until someone mentioned it and i put my ear on it.

Mine doesn't make any noise with the screen locked. Only when firing in TC.

I had a conversation with Phil regarding the buzzing sound of the SXmini in temp control mode.

I'm not sure if this is isolated to the SXmini, or with the SX350J chipset, so I'm gonna keep this here for now cause I'm hearing it from an SXmini M Class.

Apparently Phil is not hearing this from his SXmini in TC mode...

I made an MP3 that I'd love to share with the community, it's pretty loud and clear when listening through headphones.

Problem is... I don't know how to share an MP3 with the community? LoL

Any suggestions on how to make the audio clip available for everyone would be appreciated.

I'd like to know how many folks are hearing this. If some people are hearing it, and others aren't, I have a hard time swallowing the "everything is normal" pill. If it's not supposed to buzz, we need to take some action.

Have you listened to it using various joules settings from low to high?

Don't forget that Phil used to be a DJ for quite some time. I am sure that may factor into his ability to hear it.

I can live with that just turn my hearing aids down. I can hear it though with my ear buds. 1 year warranty though. You know what bothers me is I bought an S, a P3 and I could've had 3 of these and change. Oh well live and learn. I know if this thing as good as it sounds, the only bad thing I have really heard is the guy that said it was too heavy, I'll want 2. Too heavy OMG what do you expect for all this thing does it should weigh a ton. I am really amazed at how many good things I have heard, even by questionable Reviewers, everyone loves it. Too bad I am too picky about vendors but I am definately dealing with Varitube. Those guys have been a lot of help to me and they said the warranty work would be handled in house. Worth the wait to me.
