Will do...the 18650 20 amp sony's I bought aren't cutting the ice.

Did you receive those new 25R's yet and have a chance to run them?

I'm still getting about 17500j from the 25R's but just finished a test on the yr old VTC5 and it ended up at 18681j with same tank / coil juice everything. So these new batteries aren't really even as good as the one's that have 300+ charge cycles on them. :( Considering sending off an email to 101vapes to see if they do any type of testing to verify what they're selling isn't re-wraps. Let me know what your getting please.

The sx does it in exactly the same way as the DNA40 but they didn't take the time to tune the device so it gets very unstable when temp limiting. This is why you may hear the pwm sound.

And now, even after seeing the scope results, and knowing that this isn't true, you still feel compelled to spread this nonsense?

Perhaps he was talking about the fact that they are both measuring the resistance of the wire and using that resistance to best guess what the temperature is?

Because the way they apply voltage to the wire is wildly different. The only thing they have in common is that they have a resting state of 0V... Seriously, that's pretty much it

I'm getting about 22,000 out of my Efest's. Third day with it, running a Freakshow at .12 ohms single coil. I did find trying to run dual coils in TC mode almost too much effort for the return on investment, so I'll run my rta's in power mode (which rocks as well) and use drippers in TC mode until my Lemo 2 arrives.

Been reading this since page one, but wanted to resist. After all, my VF 2.1 would be the last device I'd need for a long long time.

When it works, it's brilliant. But wathever the reason - and yes, user error could be a problem, or one of the problems - I could not get consistent results. No matter how hard I tried. So, based on what I read here, and also Phil's review, I bit the bullet and ordered the M together with the Lemo 2. I hope this combo will give me a repeatable good temp protected vape. :)

the slot on the cap is bigger than the s-class which was already too big. it has a pebbled finish so it does not scratch when the coin jumps out. they really thought this out. I find if you rest the cap on the top holding it vertical upside down then turn backwards(unscrewing) half a turn. it will line itself up. then gently screw down(the opposite direction). it should catch and be very smooth. I can't see stripping this. my cap wiggles a drop unless it is completely snug but that can dent the negative post of the battery. it works best with a stubby screwdriver but have not found #3 in stubby. then it is quick and easy. with the bigger slot a nickel takes a bit of time.

I do not know if this is ot. I got a 12mm $65 tip that just completed the package in a big way. full power, no restriction. I can't imagine better right now.

I do not mean to start anything but why the comparison to the dna40. one person will say one is better and one vice versa. I do not find any fault with either realy but prefer the 350j. besides bugs in the evolv I have encountered. that alone puts the 350j first in my mind. I don't know why people say he 350j does not do this or that. it probably does, just differently. this was thought through. the mod could be slightly higher quality in my book but the overall package does it for me. I think it is outstanding and my top choice right now. have multiple dna40 and proprietary devices to compare it to. I did not get two because I bet a new one is in the works as we speak. once this is polished in a year or so everything right now might look like sesame street. I do think they will stick with temp control.

WideO,

My money says your going to be very pleased with that combo.

I have a flask also but this combo of the SX mini M and the Lemo 2 is killer. One tip for you and I didn't do it on my first build the SXmini M manual suggest 0.065 ohms as the sweet spot. Well what do they know there is no way I am going that low. So I put a 0.15 ohm coil on the Lemo 2 and plugged it into the SX. Well it worked great. used it for a week or so absolutely no complaints nice thick clouds and flavor not to mention consistency from day to day.

Then I read about the 0.065 sweet spot on a couple of other places on YiHi's WEB site. So I broke down my Lemo 2 to try the factory suggested coil resistance. By the way after about two weeks on the coil and wick I was removing the coil was not gunked and the cotton was kind of balck under the coil. I took the wick run it under some warm tap water to see if it was burnt and or scorched well it came out almost white as snow (Rayon by the way) except for a couple of dark spots so just out of curiosity I put a little dish soap on the rayon and rubbed it a little rinsed and it looked like the day I installed it. I had been running it at 20J 425 F TP. Ok back to the new build.

I tried to hit 0.065 ohms and missed by a little but with Ni200 and a target of 0.065 that can be a trick in itself. I did come up with a 0.085 ohms. I was going to give it a little tweak to lower it but I was already at a 4 turn coil. I know that sound like not enough turns but here is the deal I was mixing two tests into one. I used a 4.5 mm mandrel to build the coil pretty big huh? I just had this desire to build a wick that could keep up a good flow of juice and thought bigger would be better and the Lemo 2 has plenty of room.

In conclusion that configuration on the SX-M and the Lemo 2 is so efficient that I actually made my self sick playing with it. It was hitting like a freight train running at 25j 400 F TP. I have lowered to 22.5J and just have had to limit my puffing - no chain vaping or you will make your self so dizzy you may have to visit the porcelain throne. WideO, if you take my suggestion and give it a go you will be so pleased you will be wondering what to do with your Vapor Flask.

PS - I have to fill the Lemo 2 at least three times a day. I have never had a Mod Atty combo work this well EVER.

For some reason I have found the threads easier to catch on the M then on the S. I learned early on that if there is any pressure when starting it it's not right back it off. The first few turns should be almost effortless.
Since I put the Ox-Gard on my SX there are no more metal grind sound and it is much smoother. You do still need to be careful not to cross thread, but more easier now to find the sweet spot.

You won't regret it WideO, I am vaping on that combo right now and it is so far the best consistent vape I have ever experienced. I don't drip, so you may get a better result with a good dripper that is matched for the SX M Class but I bet it is close.

I will have to agree with everything you stated. My only build so far on my new Lemo 2 is a .09, 5 wraps on 3mm but the next time I will shoot for maybe a 4 wrap, but I like the idea of a 4.5mm if I had that size. I like to give a try with a macro coil with TC.
