I read that in some of the Facebook groups people have contacted Yihi about the paint peeling/chipping problem. From what I understand they sent photos and the mod ID number and got this reply.

I wonder if that would work for my S. It's not chipping just weating thin in places and the metal is showing through.

So for me, so far, I am still loving this device. It has taken me a little time to adjust to building with nickel, but I think I am doing it decent at this point. I am using a SubTank Mini and Lemo Drop with my builds, and they both perform great. I either use twisted 30, or straight 28, and usually shoot for .06 to .08. I find that range, usually about 5 or 6 spaced 3mm wraps, with temp set to 450 and joules set to 20-25 I get a great vape.

Using the several purple eFest 2500 mAh batteries I have I always get 22k to 24k joules. I go through two batteries a day, and I vape on the heavy side. These batteries have served me great in everything I have used them in, so I have no need at this point to think about other brands. As long as I can get these, they will be all I use.

I tried a few builds in my Dark Horse and Plume Veil 1.5 also. They were decent vapes and I could tell with a little more playing around that I could get it dialed in the way I like my drippers. They have much more airflow, so getting that great warm moist vape is a little trickier for me. But I usually keep the Dark Horse paired with my Anarchist mech so that I have something else to go to while I wait for things to get ready to pair on the SX.

Anyone still on the fence with this mod should be dropping all doubts and grabbing one. This SX could almost replace all my mods. I mean it has temp limiting mode, it has regular watts mode, and it has mech mode. Basically three awesome devices in one unit, and what a great unit it is! After almost two weeks with mine, it still looks like new also. No paint flaking or wear marks. I do tend to baby my stuff though more than I should. I am on the hunt for another one actually, the black frame version with the silver insert. That is the one I originally wanted, but didn't want to wait. But seeing as how awesome this little devil is, I have no issue picking up another. Heak, I will just sell more of my collection to make room.

Overall, I am extremely pleased. There is a greater learning curve to the temp side of vaping, but to me that is what makes it fun. I know there are several that would just like to grab and go, but I love the tinkering/hobby side of all this. If I need to grab and go and know I want be able to fiddle much, I will just grab a mech. Either way, I am one happy camper over here.

One last thing I noticed last night, while I was putting a new build in the ST Mini. I built my normal twisted 30 coil, got it all together in the base, tested it and it was reading and working fine. Filled the tank, put the tank on the base, hit the button and it fired for a split second and started flashing "low resistance" on the screen. After a few minutes of trying to figure it out, I finally did. The chimney was hitting my coil. I guess I had the coil too high on the deck and when it was all together it was shorting out. Just something to keep an eye on in the future. I've built several builds in the Mini and never had that problem, but now I know to keep a closer watch on the build height.

Anyway, I know this is long and boring, just wanted to chime in again with my experiences so far. If you made it this far, thanks for hanging in there, and vape on \m/.

Mine is black... after 2 weeks ... well take a look.... haven't dropped it yet....
OOh that is kinda ugly. Mine hasn't done that yet. Maybe I have the new one it is the second batch for varitube. My S is just wearing thin no chips but if I could get it replaced might just think about it while they still have some at varitube

I am about to pull the trigger on buying a Lemo V2. Can't decide if I want the Lemo2, or another ST Mini. I love my Lemo Drop, but I do like the ST Mini a little more. I think the Mini has better airflow, and way more options. Anyone out there have both that can shoot a little insight into which you prefer the most? Thanks!

Everything I use is juice hungry, for sure. I use the Lemo Drop, ST Mini, Atlantis, and of course numerous drippers. I usually go through 15ml to 20ml a day, sometimes more depending on what I am doing, or not doing. I think, since I am looking for something to use with nickel and temp, I will just order the Lemo2 and try that one out for a few.

Say I saw someone posted a video review by someone they said it was good. Went back 8 pages no findo anyone know where it was.

It was a few pages back the Reviewer was Rip Trippers. I've seen a few post in the thread they loved it and a few post they were having problems. I'd recommend you look at Rip Trippers and Suck My Mod review, both were updated within the last day so maybe give you a better insight.

Wow, yours is a lot worse than mine. The grey on mine is marred, a bit discolored... But not GONE like that... Were the original SXmini's this bad with wear on the finish?

Yeah, I've seen those, along with several others. I am, what my wife likes to call me, a YouTube addict. I do not deny the claim...

Right behind you...
I'm with Matt from SMM here, the Lemo 2 has wicking issues with thicker juices, wide open airflow, and higher power settings. Moreso than its predecessor. Reminds me of how my K4 did with the glass vs metal or PMMA tanks with thick juices, made worse by running the 4S kit.

There's a reason why the Lemo 1 was 23mm, and it wasn't to annoy the OCD types. :)

Well, since I use Max VG juices this could be an issue I suppose. I don't run at really high power though. I had some learning curve issues with the Drop, but once I got through those it has been great. Who knows, I think it is worth the try.

Yes, the 23mm did get my OCD going, but that is nothing new.

It's got all the racing stripes and spoilers and hood scoops just like it was a real high power, high wicking, high airflow sub-ohm RTA, but it doesn't perform like one. If you set it up like a Kayfun, it's fine. Though if you're going that route, I'd argue you'd be better served with a Kayfun clone, or an Erl clone.

I was thinking about trying a lemo 2 but this sort of confirms what I have been seeing in some reviews, reading between the lines! Think I'll just go for another STM. It works so well and i have a lot of spare bits for it by now...I somehow like the idea of the squapeR but maybe another day...;)
