I just double checked. Outer edge measurements for the SX350j display is 11.5mm x 30mm. Don't know what the SXmini m display is exactly but measuring the opening in the case is about 8mm x 25mm so I'm assuming they're pretty close if not the same size.
Well, I'm without my SX Mini for a few days. I had one with the original black paint that went bad. However, Ginger Vaper was glad to replace it, so next week I'll have my replacement. Also, I'll be receiving one of those silicon sleeves they offer, so I can let you all know what it's like when I get it. Until then, it's just me and my backup mod, the istick 30W.
The paint problem IMO is definitely one of if not the biggest problems. Glad they're taking care of it as has been reported several times. You could have bought another and waited until you received it to send in your original. Then you wouldn't be without one.

Heh, I was tempted, but I'd prefer to get something else using the 350j chip. Nothing against the SX Mini, it's a great device, but I would like something with more battery capacity on the next big purchase. Preferably dual 18650, but I'd also consider a 28650 mod or the like. I'm hoping we might see something soon from YiHi on that end, but they may be too busy just meeting demand at the moment to gear up for another product line (even if they are already likely planning the next best thing).
As to the mod being defective, Ginger Vaper was great about it and absolutely no complaints there. Also, every mod I purchased but one that I've owned has turned out to be defective. The Innokin vv4 had a burnt out LED display (and worked funky, just like its replacement too), the iStick 30W had a bad 510 connector, etc. Bad paint sucks, but it's minor annoyance in comparison to receiving mods from competitors that were completely unusable from the get go. Unlike those situations, it's easy to understand how something like a paint problem can get past QC.

Guess that's the distressed look. Looking pretty bad there. You going to get it replaced? The covering I used HobbyTown - Topflite Trim MonoKote Midnight Black | Product Details is holding up great IMO. Don't have the SXmini logo but it looks worlds better. If you don't want to send it off for replacement you might look into this.
I think I'll see about a replacement and get the upgrade at the same time. Two birds with one stone.
Oh wow, I just finished conversing with Ginger Vaper too, sending mine back and ordering a sleeve to be sent along with the replacement too.

Check out their website, they are advertising a Boxer 150w mod w/2 batteries that uses the Yihi chip (they say 2nd generation chip)

Well the test patch they put out is working flawlessly for me. I even ran the battery all the way down in eco mode and changed it no problems.
Well I need YiHi to come out with a signature banner. If I sell my P3 I won't be Provariless I will still have my original V1 and a brand new V2.5 they sent me when I sent in my emerald green one with paaint issues it is Satin SS. Never been used. Oh yeah I still have a used V2.5 thats my wifes also Satin SS

Seems like this is something one can also build via shapeways.com or sculpteo.com. My rough estimate is about $160 for DIY, provided you can get the parts at reasonably shipping (he only lists European suppliers).
