Mine does the diagonal line thru the battery bar also. It is my opinion that it does it when the battery sag is going far below 3.2 volts. And oh by the way it only does it when I use some junky "MXJO" batteries that I bought. They are terrible, don't last long and sag really bad during firing.
I agree with you George. My finding is that some of my tired batteries even when at 1/2 bar or 3/4 bar get a sag so low when firing it with higher Joules such as 26-32J I get the battery low message with the diagonal line. I believe that I am just requesting more amps than the battery is capable of producing. Dual coils and thicker wire seem to trigger this.

Jim,

Most of my batteries are in pretty good shape but someone told me the MXJO batteries were GREAT so I bought a couple. They are crap and show a tremendous sag even right after a full charge.

They are supposed to be high drain 30 amp continuous but I no longer believe that. They are just Chinese junk. The next time I go by "Best Buy" I am going to trash them in their recycle bin.

Just like many of you having made the transition from mechs to box mods, battery safety has always been one of my major concerns. Looking at battery chart on the put together by @Mooch, the HG2's appear to be aggressively overrated in max discharge limits. But, by the same token, my Sammy 25r's and VTC5's fall within those ranges too. As long as no one reports losing a finger or thermal runaways with these batteries, I may make the switch.

Well just upgraded my 2nd atty to Ti. This one came out at .29 but may not be completely cooled. Working very well. Using my break in method starting out at 14J 250. Since the resistance is .03 higher then the other so far should I still use the same temp or just play it by ear. Turned it down to 230 for a while it was pretty strong flavorwise but really good. I am just going to do one atty at a time as they need recoiling till I get all 6 done.

I think I have figured out PART of the weak vape phenomenon some have complained about.(not all)
Vaping away on a new TC build and all is lovely.
Sit it down for a while or pick it up after sitting overnight and it just acts mushy/under powered.
Well, rather than making mad adjustments to my settings when this happens on my built, I decided to see if there was any other reason than settings/chip.
Yep - Build. More specifically wicking.

Seems a build with a bit to light on the wicking issue can mildly flood the wick/chamber without necessarily reducing air flow noticeably or making a leaky mess.

Paying attention to my actual vape, I could actually hear what seemed to be a slow boil as the coil fired. Not a Gurgle or splatter but just a light sound like water starting to boil from across the room from the stove.

Sure enough a couple of repeat draws and the excess cooked off, temps rose, vape came alive and all was good once again.

Anyway this is just one experience I have noted running TC. The coil seems to be working fine, but the excessive e-liquid is dampening the Vape.

With this Ti I never get a weak vape. Seems to put out a lot more then with nickel and the flavor is out of this world. I didn't think these flavors could taste better but they do. I am definately a Ti fan boy. Slowly changing them all over to it. Ni mode is definately better then Ti mode. I like it between 16J-18J 270-280. I would've never thunk it. Love this Vape Mesh wire also.

That makes sense as it is also a common Phenomenon across the Board regardless of Wire type or RTA.
However, no such Experience with the Erl K or the Lemo 2 (now that I figured out a new Method of Wicking it-will post that with Pics in the L2 Thread later).
So, same as 2legs and others, I just keep tasty Vapin' with the Ti Builds running in Ni200 Profile at 17.5-20 J and 280-295* F and digging on it like a Boss.
Steady and Predictable as a Rock. No need to change SOP in the least.
Even if YiHi never gets the Ti Profile FW "right", not an issue in the least to me.
The SX rocks and Ti is the Flavor & Performance King of Vape as far as I'm concerned and that's all I need or could hope for.

Holy.... almost 80,000J and still a full battery? There's got to be some shenanigans here, or else those batts are underrated by about 6,000mAh ;) Are you using the battery extension tube? There's got to be some magic going on, I don't have any HG2s but VTC5s, 25Rs, and HE2s are giving me around 20,000-22,000 J at 480F 34J, obviously I have slightly lower capacity batteries and am running more power/higher temp but still, but that shouldn't account for such a huge difference.

Just so you know, I suspect you are an alien and have used some exotic power supply for your SX Mini, but it goes to show even extraterrestrials know how good the SX mini is ;)
