Why so high of J count. Just seems like to me that if you use just enough power to hit temp oh never mind I see you are running at 500F. Do you have the 2.32 update?

Yes, and whenever I see your (what I consider) extremely mild temps, small coils, and low joules I snort too. So we're even. :)

And what Vlad said, I like a quick ramp, and it takes a bit more power to fire up 8-10 wraps per coil, with lots of airflow and solid wicking. If you want a decent ramp speed under those conditions in Eco mode, 40j is how you do it. That said, I'm back to P/P+ mode most of the time, Eco mode was just a test.

Does anyone know the best wire for our M class with gunky juice? What would you do?

I am happy with temp on Ni 200 so far but not sure what type of coil works best on our M class's. I also only use authentic Kayfun V4s and lowish joules (14 - 25j/ 280-400f).

Also, I use rayan wick. So what wire, spaced or micro is best on the M class for you?

Cheers!

NiFe52/48 in five (5) attys, including 2 Kayfun 4's, 6-8 wraps of 26 awg on a 2.5 Kuro Coiler, dry-burned and compressed.

Works a treat on 2 X DNA 200, rDNA, and SX Mini (TCR of 0.00405). The bonus is that these coils can be dry-burned if/when there is a juice build up, aka gunk.

Running at 280 F may mean that your liquid is not getting enough heat. On the SX Mini I run 22-26 J (occasionally higher) at 430-450 F. Need to rewick, at most, 1 1/2 days, or less.

Oh OK I can understand that. Was just curious I know that with my little 5wrap coils before the update I had to use 480+ to vape in Ti mode now 400 works great.

What do you guys think of my idea to get 3 M's to put away. As far as I can figure the ML is just an M with a little different case and the G that is supposed to come out in spring is just an M with 2 batteries. I think the M is a fantastic mod best I have ever owned with the new FW 2.32. I love it plus if something really special does come out I bet I could sell the M's for what I paid. Just an idea. They aren't going to be around forever.

If you really want more, wait until next week or so and buy the ML, which will have a few more features, fix a few issues like the battery cap, and depreciate slower (the M Class is tanking in resale value fast if you follow the Facebook SX groups, just like the S class took a value dive just before the M was released).

And if you're worried about regulations, I still really really wouldn't worry about that causing mods to dry up anytime soon. Seriously.

If the FDA regs get approved TOMORROW, there's still a mandatory 2 year period where they can NOT be enforced. And even then, the FDA has NO CONTROL over electronics, batteries, wire, wick, etc. All they can regulate is the stuff in juice and how its marketed (that does include pre-juiced devices like Big Tobacco cigalikes, and the only way they can regulate electronics, batteries, wick and wire).

Color me even more impressed, in Eco mode I managed 26k joules out of an LG HG2 (and about 23ml of juice). Didn't have those batteries when I still had the old SXM, just 25R and HE2/HE4's, and 21k was the best I ever got out of one of them, once.
Can anyone explain 'Eco' mode to me? I never use it. I just turned it on. I was vaping at 25j in standard. When I switched to 'Eco' my joules went to 40j. Should I leave it here or back down to 25j in Eco?

"Eco" is short for "economy", it turns the screen off faster, shuts down some background processes, limits you to 40j in temp control mode, and helps extend battery life a bit. It has its own set of 5 memory presets, and as you switch between Eco and other modes, the preset NUMBER you had in one mode is the same number you go to when you switch. Sounds like you were in M5 when you switched, which by default is 40j in Eco mode.

Anyway, just adjust joules and presets to where you like them in Eco mode.
