Terrible lighting in the office but this little thing can definitely put out for its size.

Woohoo! SX Mini will be inbound in a couple of days. I'm fairly stoked. I've been going through regulated box mods like crazy lately. I've recently sold two Hana clones, an IPV2, rDNA30, and a Sig 100.

With the new addition I'll be rolling with SX Mini, an ipv Mini, and a Sig100+. I think I'll be good for at least a couple of weeks.

At least you sell some :) I never sell mods. Just attys I don't care for or lose interest in.

After reading the 50 + pages of this thread I decided to order the SX Mini after debating for a few days on it or a Sig 100+. I have a rDNA already and it has been my everyday device since I got it. I had to send it back once because I got lucky and got one of the faulty DNA 40 chips that seem the be in great supply these days. The second rDNA has been great so far. My backup iStick starting acting weird and it would not fire sometimes so I decided to start looking for a higher powered box that I could use on my kanthal builds. The temperature control is nice, but I find myself keeping one my lemos and one of my TGTs with nickel builds and the rest with kanthal. Kanthal is so much easier to work with.

I decided to check the forums to see what was new and found out about the SX Mini. I was about to either pick up the 100+ locally or get the Sig 150 from 101 vape. I am sure I would have been happy with them, but I don't need anywhere close to 100 or 150 watts. I am glad I found this thread just in time because it seems the SX Mini may just be that awesome of a device. My wife may not think so because of the price, but most of the time you get what you pay for. Learned that lesson with a Tesla and a SVD.

The great new is that I ordered it from Varitube Sunday night and it shipped Monday. USPS has the expected delivery day as Wednesday. So yeah I am happy right now.

You are going to be extremely happy. The second you see the presentation it comes in youll know you made the right choice.
I have been a high (70+) wattage vaper for the past year, STRICTLY. I specifically am changing my vape style from a Sigelei 100+ to accommodate the SX Mini as my ADV, the size, weight, looks, everything about it is just on the money. The switch has got to be the nicest ive ever used.
I just love this thing.

This thread is bad for the wallet, 1st I get tempted into looking at getting the sx mini, now I am wondering if I should ditch my Atlantis and get the kanger subtank, I like the Atlantis for it's plug and vape, but do get some throat irritation using it, so wonder if the subtank would be better for me, but that 25mm size sucks though, but wouldn't be used on the sx mini I am planning on getting anyway.

One of my vape friends had the same issue with throat irritation using the atlantis. Aspire used to use chopped silica rope pressed into the coil head. Some users were having whole chunks come out of it and into their mouth. when the issue of silicosis came up, they listened to the community and now use cotton for the wicking. This new cotton coil, I have seen myself in person.

Several vendors still have them but Coval Vapes just went OOS on the grey after I purchased a grey one from them about 5 minutes ago. Varitube says they still have the grey in stock and Yetivape lists them as a pre-order. I chose Coval since they are located in Texas and the shipping should be faster to CA than Florida (Varitube).

EDIT: Coval still has the black for sale as of 3:45pm Pacific Time on 12/29. Sorry for any confusion. They are only OOS on the grey. EDIT 2: Coval now OOS on both models as of 4:45pm on 12/29.

I ordered from varitube. They ship out the same day if ordered before 1400 EST. They also have free shipping on orders over a certian ammout (the SX mini qualifies all by herself) and use 2 day priority mail.

Its dependent on the builds voltage, but for example a on a .33ohm built at 4.44v (60w + Powerful) takes about 220J per pull (3-4sec), theres about 39,000J in a 2500mah battery at 4.44v, of course you wont get that full 39k because of battery sag at that high power on a single battery, but if you did that'd be 177 puffs.
I havent actually timed how long I get the way I vape but I'll count how many puffs I can get before it stops being able to give me 60w on this battery and let you know.
Im an hour in so far and at 4.12v.

The atty is the Little Boy by MCV which Im gonna be switching off this device, its a bit too airy for 60w.

That is the best explanation of the joule counter on this device yet. Thank you, dravell!

The Pic above from left to right. THe Whom? mod x Kraken, SX!!! x Mutation X, PB Stingray x Tobh 2.5, SMPL x Mutation X. The SX is so much smaller than I thought it would be. Since it is so hard to tell, I thought the size comparisions would help.

Full Size Lemo :)

...and the Lemo Drop

From left to right, and front to back: Zero (authentic), SX, Solara. See next post...lol

Authentic Zero huh..nice =)
But yeah I was surprised when I got the SX that it was about the same size as the Zero, I knew it was small but pics make it look bigger than it actually is so I was pleasantly surprised. Makes the Solara look like a beast lol.
Been using my Aqua V2 or Lemo Drop on it, the Little Boy is just too airy for it even at 60w on Powerful so I ordered a Marquis, think thatll be a match made in heaven with it.
Looooved the presentation it came in though. Opening the box I knew it was going to be a high quality mod.

My buddy at the shop just got his (pictured) Zero through some trading. He loves it. I, on the other hand (prepare for incomming vape blasphemy  lol), think the fit and finish is sub par compared to the SX Mini. The SX chip does so much more too, it really tickles my techno-nerd buttons :2cool:

...and yeah, that solara is a massive beast in comparision lol. Still comfortable in the hand though. I actually think a solara would be a great choice for someone looking to upgrade from starter kits but doesn't want to go in for all the batteries and chargers and what not. I just wish it was a touch less expensive. no denying it is a decent product though.

I've been running my Mutation X v1 with it wide open and a cherryvape cloud chaser wide bore tip AND an apple cap (a chuff style cap specific fit for Mutation). I'm using a 1ohm dual coil build at 50w and 60w respectively in powerful mode :p

Dang!!! I was just in Buffalo today! I'm gonna have to look them up next time I'm there, I like visiting vape shops :)

Hey nelsonm64! If I'm not mistaken Buffalo is right next to Canadia, could be an excuse for a road trip ;)

wrong end of the country for me. i'm on the west coast couple hours from Vancouver :) or i'd be in ;)

Ive got the clone SX Zero, good enough for me lol.
The build on my Little Boy is a 7 wrap 24g dual coil at .33ohm so the heat flux is rather low. I can go 5 wraps at .2 or higher gauge and have significantly more heat flux but I think im looking for an excuse to get the Marquis :vapor:

Hey, I do like that Sx Zero clone! They look nice and have some options (like the 510 connection) that are really nice as well. I like to tinker...if I got one of those, I'd probably wind up finding a way to mod it for two batteries and an SX1500 chip  I still want one so I can troll a local "HEMO" if nothing else, lol!

When you do receive the Marquis, try 3mm 28g 9wrap. I have a feeling you'ss like it at 50 or 60 watts in powerfull mode:2cool: puts it right at 7.82V
