Well, my plan was to park the Subtank on my stay-at-home mini and use the Drop on my out-and-about mini. My biggest problem right now is that I need to actually start leaving one of them at home. So I guess what I really need is more clothing with fewer pockets...

HMMM....

The sans-logo versions appear to be a bit rare, peter, at least among people who have been showing them off online. Pretty sure these are first batch units, as mine arrived with v1.2 firmware (my gray arrived with logo and v1.3). It was also one of the last units (if not the last unit) the vendor I ordered from had in stock around the end of November, which supports this theory. They must have been one of the first merchants to place their order with YiHi.

edit: Yep, Nikki ninja'd me while I was taking out the trash in the middle of my post. Hehe.

I really do like the logo on the gray one, it's very tasteful and understated. It also withstood the rigors of vinyl wrap removal quite admirably. :2cool:

rounding third and heading home...
The fact is the people saying the dna is the clear winner or is much better havent even seen a Mini in real life let alone touched one. I think every person ive seen who owns a DNA40 of any kind and bought a SX Mini, has still come out and said its the nicest device theyve seen. Ive seen a number say their DNA40s arent really getting used as much anymore.
The 40 obviously has TC going for it, so if someone wants TC then the DNA40 is the clear winner, but in every other category...its just easy.
i am sure TC is important but until a company comes out with a pre-made coil with nickel wire i will never bother with it. just seems there are other things that matter more to me than TC and the yihi side of things addresses those things so i prefer yihi in the yihi vs. dna40 debate. we are all winners when there are 2 or more companies vying for our vaping business....

I wondered if the non-logo versions were from the first batch. I wonder why they decided to change it.

Well the SXMini that I ordered on Monday afternoon and that was shipped a couple of hours later, has now been sitting in Greensboro, NC for two hours and USPS tracking says it will be delivered on Friday. What are they doing to me!!!!!!! It is only 160 miles from me and they are just sitting on it. I just love the USPS. They run a truck from Greensboro to my home town that leaves around 3am every night.
Maybe they will get their butts in gear and get my package moving my way overnight.

Bang on there. As I see it, the biggest problem with TC right now is that it's first-generation technology. I maintain that Evolv is pursuing avenues that I feel will become very important to vapers down the road, but TC in its current incarnation is... well, a bit lacking. I'm hoping that the DNA will improve significantly over two or three more iterations, and I'd put good money on a bet that it will. No way in hell I'm writing Evolv off just yet. But then, we gotta wonder where YiHi's tech will be at that point, eh?

That said, for my own personal "here and now" vaping experience, the SX350mini is superior.

Haha, hey Portertown! Greensboro loves to hoard our gear! I've had stuff somehow magically appear in my mailbox that USPS tracking claims is still in Greensboro, so hang in there. ;)

There is no doubt the chinese mfgs are seeing their really high wattage mods (variant, GOD, SMY260, etc) are not selling all that well, and they will see that TC and innovations such as that are, and they will move to that technology. The wattage war is ending and they will stop focusing on it.
This new year is going to bring some really amazing innovations and products much like this year did. I am excited for the vaping market.

You should be good. The one I ordered Sunday night and shipped Monday just arrived in Fayetteville. They run a truck from there to Jacksonville every night so I should be getting mine tomorrow as scheduled. Well lets hope they keep their usual schedule up. It is crazy that between vape mail and Amazon I almost have the USPS routes down.

Premade coils with nickel wire are available for the Nautilus :) One of the things that attracted me to the SX350 over Evolv DNA is the ability to use lower than 7W with the SX350 if I so desire.

Here is just one example http://www.vaporkings.com/Vapor-Shark-Aspire-Nautilus-Atomizer-Coil-p/nautilus-coil-nickel.htm

I am vaping the .5 OCC coil right now, I can't believe how this atty is performing. The flavor was so full and prominent from the first draw .. the air flow is also way more than I thought it would be and I only have one air hole open.

I just picked up the subtank yesterday and threw it on the rDNA 40 today with the .5 coil. I was pleasantly surprised and the air flow is great. The flavor the the GQ Eclipse juice really came out around 36 watts. I may just have to pick up one or two more.

This is so very true, and many vapers including myself tried to warn certain manufacturers that they were headed down the wrong path with these extremely high wattage outputs .. I guess they needed to learn the hard way. I have the Variant clone and it is hands down the most impressive clone that I have ever held in my hands, specifically with regards to the build quality, the chip not so much due to it being overpowered. But the build quality very much feels high end, and its kind of crazy that it cost more than the SXmini .. but the reality is that it is a relative flop in the market.

Yeup thats staying on my SX Zero lol. Thank you youre the best

I got to mess with a vape friend's last night on the 30w zero clone. Flush fit and sweet look.:vapor: Could you throw up a pic here so all the peoplez here ca see too?

He also had an authentic Zero with him and he said he prefers the build quality in the clone better. He said after dissasembly, that the clone had more robust internal construction?!

This makes me want a sx zero clone MOAR now!
:grr:

I got the chance to mess with a rDNA40 last night, and let me tell you...I'm SUPER stoked I went with the SX!!!

Dont get it twisted though, the rDNA is still a nice device, its a bit smaller, feels pretty good in the hand and using it with a lemo drop.....BuuUUuuuttttt....it just doesn't have that "cadillac" feet to it. You know what I mean?

The rDNA is definitely nice, the SX Mini just feels and IMO looks a lot nicer. If someone told me the SX Mini was $300 id believe them. If someone told me the rDNA was $300 id tell them they got screwed.
The rDNA40 is a great device if you want TC and cant spend a ton though, and I understand why people buy and love it.
If someone is asking which to buy between the two though, the ONLY reason id say the rDNA is if they want TC, if they do, its the clear winner obviously.
The Mini is just a better device in every other way. If it had TC, forget about it, it would be game over.

The wait is about over as my SXMini arrived at my local post office around 4am this morning and should be delivered to my house around lunch time today. I will give the USPS a "thumbs up" this time.
I am so looking forward to getting this mod, especially after all the comments about how great it is, that have been made on this thread. I put the excitement level of getting this mod at the same level as when I have products coming from MMVapors (Poldiac, Nanos, OverOne).

Thanks Nikki,
I have not been on the forum much lately due to having to help take of my 92 year old mother. Things should ease up a bit as we are getting ready to hire someone to help her for 5 or 6 hours per day. You know, carry her to doctor's appointments/beauty shop appointments and help her around the house. She loves to get out and go places.
It is good to be back on the forum and you will be seeing more of me on here in the future. I know this will just result in me spending more money on all the new toys you and others find and share with us.
