Did anyone here update the firmware yet with this one? SXmini-1st-SX350mini-60W-120W-20141106-V1.2.rar
They've been shipping with 1.3.1 (shows a 1.3 on device screen) for a while now, so that would be a downgrade for most of us.

I would check to see what your device already has before flashing anything.
Hold down the fire button while screwing in your battery. Afterwards you might need to remove and put the battery back in if your up/down buttons don't work.

Zero ohm, try some isopropyl alcohol first on that epoxy.
Thanks Roxy I am not sure how well the paint coating on the SX mini will hold up but this seems a safer initial try.
Freezing followed by a hammer and chisel worked well for me. I used a can of propellant used by electronic tech's to freeze transistors for testing.
Thanks for that seems the 3 ways to remove epoxy are freezing, chemical and heat not sure the SX mini aluminium chassis would stand up to the chisel! The last thing I want to do is total the chassis.

We shall see how I get on!

All SX350 mini boards are 120W regardless of the firmware version you need 8.4V or a dual battery (ie 2*18650) source. Just like the SX350 100W board.
oh I know that you need 2 18650 batt and extension and yes the board is ready for 120W, but I thought you need also to upgrade the firmware so that the board is reprogram to fire 120W from 60W we have now..and at the same time your display now can show 120W .. Right now when you up your watts is only capable of showing 60W max...thats why I encourage you to visit yihisxmini.com, they just uploded the firmware file along with driver sotware which a few days a go not available ..

Well, I suggested last week that they put all the relevant downloads for the mini on the yihisxmini site. Cari emailed me back and said they would do that, which they did... only they put the v1.2 firmare up instead of the most current v1.3!

The idea was to make it less confusing!

100% of mini users will not need v1.2. Unless there are some v1.0 or 1.1's out there, and even then, you'll still want the most current 1.3 version obtainable from yihiecigar.com. I'll hit Cari up tonight and see what's the dealy yo.

Dont do it! If you thought the Vaporshark felt cheap you are gonna hate the Solara. I first saw it at Vape Summit, once regulated mods started hitting the market cheap I always said the Solara is a sub $100 device.

Oh good call .. For the money I would certainly prefer to get another Mini. Really want a black one, or maybe just another gray and I will wrap.

Huston we have a problem!

Not sure what I did but I can't change memories or power modes any longer.

Early this morning I felt the need to check what firmware version I was running so I loosened the battery and booted up while holding the fire button, ver 1.3. This evening I noticed that the vape wasn't quite right and when I looked, it was in "soft" mode. I hit the fire button once and then the mode button and nothing. Then I tried changing memories and nothing. Then I tried adjusting the wattage using the button sequence and nothing.

Is it possible that I locked out the buttons somehow? I know that they work because they will "wake" the unit up. Is there a firmware "Reset" sequence that I can try?

Try reflashing the firmware

Yeah, a few of us have found that if you power on while holding the button to check the firmware, it locks the settings like that. Just turn it off or pull the battery and turn it back on and it will be back to normal.
