Can the TGT deck be removed from the base? I wouldn't mind seeing the bottom of it. I'm thinking my hurricane is a copy of this tank, guess I'll hang out here too.
Nope, it's not removable.

I think I've seen someone manage to get it out, but it's not something you would want to do

Edit: I think it's pressure fit

Below is a pic showing three of my four $9.25 Franken-Taifun V2 clones made from from Fasttech parts. I like them so much that I've ordered three more. I've done the dremel cutting-wheel mod on one of them to convert the five small air intake holes on either side into larger slots, and that does seem to add a bit more airiness to the draw, but I haven't yet decided whether it's a sufficiently meaningful improvement to do the others.

For me, Taifun GT-T V2s are mouth-to-lung flavor monsters, not direct-lung cloud chuckers, and the slot mod doesn't add enough air flow to change the beast's basic nature.

Nice... Which cap is that again?

Phone guy,

Check post [HASHTAG]#2688[/HASHTAG] on the previous page of this thread for pics of the two parts---base and tank---and links to buy.
I knew I just seen it, couldn't remember where. Thanks!
Just want to say that I'm a bit confused as to why I notice a pretty large difference between stock and slotted and others are not.
It compares to my Lemo Drop, Kanger (25 mm) ST with RTA, Nuppin'
I think the slot is only slightly more open also. Nothing compared to a subtank or lemo 2 IMHO
I guess your more in tune? I know the difference between base gt 1 and base gt 2 are very noticeable.

I was just getting ready to order the GT 2. Before I do, just how big IS the difference between the GT 1 and the GT 2?
HUGE difference. I am not a cloud chaser, more of a flavor chaser but I almost cannot even vape with any of my GT1's now

I didn't have the GT1, but the GT2 has massive airflow if you want it, I vape mine just 1 hole open past half way, and it is very nice and airy MTL. Still one of the most used attys I own, I've loved this thing since day one :)

This is one of the great mysteries of life (and of vaping): why people experience differently what is presumably the same.

Sometimes that can be chalked up to differences of perception and expectation. I'm reminded of the scene in the 1970s movie "Annie Hall" where Woody Allen and Diane Keaton are shown in split-screen complaining to their respective therapists, who ask how often they have sex with each other. Diane says, "Constantly, 2 or 3 times a week." Woody says, "Almost never, 2 or 3 times a week."

Other times, the thing that appears to be the same is actually not identical, so that the differences in experience are "objectively real" rather than "subjectively perceived or interpreted."

Regarding differences in air flow between stock Taifun GT-T V2s with five small holes on either side and Taifun V2s that have been dremel-modded to give a pair of large slots, I don't know which is true. Having both stock and slotted Taifuns, I can attest that the increase in air flow is audible. Draw on the stock version is smooth and silent, while the slotted version has a definite "rushing air" sound. I can direct-lung inhale either, but both "feel" more natural vaped MTL, especially the stock Taifun. Compared to the most wide-open tanks in my stable---Atlantis, Subtank, Starre, VCT, or SilverPlay---my slotted Taifun is clearly more restricted and moves less air.

YMMV, of course.

Got my first Taifun, HOTCIG GT-T V2 RTA
$20.02 HOTCIG GT-T V2 RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer (5.0mL) - stainless steel + matte glass / 23mm diameter at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Amazing. Beats manure out of Kayfun V4 with no problems. Super easy (I do not know how I can screw it) to build. Nice to vape. Sure, filling is a bit better for Kayfun, but not bad at all for GT-2. Use it for second day and no leaking at all (with Kayfun I have about 2 drops out of air holes every day).

I was looking for comfortable RTA, and only Kayfun v4 and GT-T V2 were fitting the bill. Glad to have them both.

I have 3 kayfun 4's, a few kayfun 3.1's, and a couple KFL.. Some authentic some clone. I liked the taifun gt1 over the kayfuns before. I switched the kayfun's for a while, because I didn't like the tight draw. The kayfun 4 draw is more open that the other kayfun's, but the gt2 is much more open vs the kayfun's now. I sold off a couple of authentic I had... Still have 1 or 2 and honestly not sure why.

The taifun gt2 is an outstanding atty. It and the squape Reloaded have pretty much been my only 2 atty in use for a while now.

I need to try a nickel build in the kayfun 4 just because, but I don't have the upgraded spring so I'm not sure how well that would go. But I need to try anyway.

Does anybody have one of these and know if the glass is removable?
All I can tell you is not all clones are the same, not all glass for the taifun clones are the same. The glass we bought for a taifun gt2, the glass sleeves from fasttech, do not fit the gt2 we've got. And the reviews of all the glass say the same thing. They are too narrow or too short or both.

If I had to guess (and it's only a guess) I would think yes the glass is removable. But replacing it might be an issue for the aforementioned reason. Clone modding is kind of hit and miss, especially with FastTech stuff. My 2¢. YMMV

The taifun is a better flavor atty over the kayfun IMHO. The kayfun is good but the taifun is excellent. If I could afford it, I'd buy an authentic just because. But I've never had the good fortune to find a deal on a genuine.

And building it is much easier than a kayfun (yes that's true) and filling it is easier too. Yes even more so than the kayfun 4. Just open it and top it off and screw the base back on. Like filling a Kanger subtank. Same exact concept.
