They clean almost identical to other CE2 style clearos...

The Phoenix TCs are not like any of the CE2s I have been using for over a year. The base is in two parts. When you try to loosen the tube at the base, unlike the old CE2's, the metal base breaks into two parts, the old ones were one single piece.

I would really like to take them apart to clean them, but that loose wire is hard to get back into place so it works again. Any help is appreciated.

Removing the tube from the base on the Phoenix TCs is more difficult than the Fluxos; but it can be done. You have to use something that will allow you to push down on the ceramic coil, at the same time as you're wiggling the tube off the base. I use a needle protector from a 1ml diabetic type syringe. It has a flat end that will fit into the tube, and sit on the ceramic cup. I apply pressure on the needle protector with my thumb, while wiggling the tube off the base. Once removed, the cleaning process is the same as Fluxos. Soak in Everclear. Dry the wicks. Dry burn the coil. Reassemble.
