I was jealous, but then I noticed it was a cybercookie. I don't need the calories.
i dont like the freecycle for my area.. its a bunch of ppl posting stuff like need ps3 games..
some ppl just dont feel right taking something from ppl they do not know well for nothing..
i used to help a bunch of older woman fix their computers when i played on yahoo.. would either walk them through step by step on how to fix the problem or just fix it remotely they would always offer to send me money ext.. one found out my address and sends me home made fudge and all sorts of stuff still..

On the freecycle for my area to...love it 
I've gotten..and given some pretty cool stuff
Wonderful for recycling baby stuff, you know the adorable outfit the kid just had to have, and outgrew three weeks later.
Some folks just dont like to give it out...it's their prerogative. "shrug"
I'm not to worried...living in military housing, with two Huge dogs....bring it stalkers! (we might not have great backyards, or enough parking...and the neighbors are all gossip hores...but we are secure)
Of course I say all this....and I would probably give my Addy out anyway...like to think that the majority of folks are decent folks.

Its not uncommon. However having spent over 20 yrs on the internet and met several people I found on the web, I feel the fear is highly over rated LOL
It really doesnt take long to figure out who the not so reliable people are.
Just move on and dont worry about others fears.

Yup Jules you are the baby LOL I started running a bbs ( bulletin board system) on the Atari before the internet was as you all know it ! Oh boy am I giving my age away here
I moderated on a large forum for many years and learned to tell the very few baddies from the normal people .
99 % of people are just normal good people. The only precaution I have taken in all that time is when meeting someone in person, I always choose a public place to do it the first time or 2.
I met my best friend online that lives right in my city.

I did very little on the computer before my accident. I could download music and look up things I needed to know but that was about it. We were always either working or out on the bike. Once we had the wreck I had to figure out something to do with my time. I helped moderate a large weight loss forum and then branched out and owned my own weight loss forum. Both of those were a different type of board than this one. I eventually taught myself to be able to do a little CSS so I could change things up on my forum but that's about it for my talents,lol I too met the best friend I've ever had online. We have never met and have never even talked to each other on the phone but I know she would be there in an instant for me and likewise myself for her. I wish she did live closer.
lol sensay I had the same thing happen to me a couple of weeks ago. A newb was asking for advise on a couple of the TV liquids I have. I sent her a pm offering to send her a couple of samples of my TV doubler in those flavors. She sent me back a pm saying that she didn't want liquid that had been opened because I may have tampered with it. Honestly I was a little offended

Hey Vrubin dont forget my MIL is the post master in philo, she has so hooked me up so many times
she is usally right there at the counter, if not just ask for her. I have gone in there many time with stuff I sold on ebay and say umm what is the best way to ship this and she does everything for me . Shout out to the best post master ever!
