If it makes you feel any better, I was off of cigarettes and all nicotine for over 15 years until a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to get my wife into vaping and off cigarettes, so I bought her and myself starter kits. My plan was to get nic juice for her and 0 nic for myself until I found that nicotine actually has positive effects for people with colitis. I was chatting with my sister today, who is an RN, and she was happy to hear that my wife has already cut her daily cigarette usage in half and when I told her that I've been vaping she said "Why? You haven't smoked in so long." I told her that I heard the nic helps with colitis, and that I quit cold turkey no problem, so I'm not worried about quitting vaping if I ever want to. Her response was "Valing is so much better for you than smoking and, you're right...the nicotine might actually help you with your colitis." IMO, nobody is perfect. If vaping keeps you off the sticks then look at that as a positive think. Your son will understand when he's old enough to. Things could be worse, that's for sure. Plenty of kids out there grow up with alcoholics for parents today so vaping is far better. If it really upsets your son then just don't do it right in front of him all the time. But don't hide the fact that you vape. IMO, lying to him would be worse.
