Ya know, it really is a small world...here we are from all over the country...with a million different experiences....and yet we share So many common ones!! Just a thought that struck me!!! Oh wait maybe that was wifey tellin me it is trash night! :laugh:SC
***HEY IT'S our trash night too!! I just hollered at Mr. TV to get it done!

Wow, I've never seen anything like that before techno.
Is it really something you can eat!TT
Yep. Geoducks are a big deal out here. I have thus far refused to try it myself.
It's supposedly like eating a giant clam...but it looks pretty nasty to me.

People dig them up just like clams. I think it's just God's way of saying he can make any damn thing he wants.

Oh thank you my friend!!!! I was just about to have a panic attack thinking about what would happen if ECF didn't come back and I had no way of contacting anyone.....

I meant to ask you where you ferried to to see your relatives the other day?

SC

Well, from our place you can throw a stone and it would land in Louisiana, and we're kinda known for eating anything that won't eat us. I'd eat one of those things. Do you cook 'em first or just warm them up?

- Boil / steam usually. They're treated like clams.
Some restaurants have them in big aquariums like lobster so you can pick your own.

I ferried from Edmonds to Kingston. It's a 30 minute ride. My family lives over on the Kitsap Penninsula near Bremerton...

The reason I asked is because I've been all over Ohio. Well, not all over, but quite a few places. Its a pretty State.

TT

Yeah but as my southern hubby so nicely pointed ot people from Ohio are weird. He is right about that lol I think being in negative temps and blizzards for most of the year makes it so :)

I had a friend who lived in Cleveland named Walter Remick who wrote several books about Lake Erie and I went to his place in Cleveland a few times. He was researching and trying to locate Admiral Perry's flagship and I did some scuba diving in Erie at locations he wanted to investigate.

We came back with quite a few artifacts but never anything to prove we had found the flagship. I'd have come in there from the east, so I've possibly been through there.
