Glad you got your computer up-and-running brother. I can't believe you got a 28" monitor! No matter how much I want a bigger monitor, I can't see myself ever being able to afford a 28". I will have to suffer with my little monitor, and just be envious of yours. It's okay. Mine is a good monitor. The picture is really good, even though it is only 27".

Hey jj, can you play wwf on a kindle fire? My mom is thinking of getting something portable that can access the internet. I love my iPad but the kindle would be less expensive.
I got the Kindle Touch right after I got a laptop. I couldn't bring myself to go the extra bucks after spending all that on the laptop!
I had a Kindle Fire. I gave it to my daughter. I just didn't like it's limitations. No bluetooth, software volume levels, bad home screen, etc. I got a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus instead, and love it. Now, you can get the same Samsung for like $249.
The Kindle Fire was a great entry-level style tablet for $199, but now mid range tablets are only about $50 more.

You can get a 16GB iPad2 for $399. I think the refurb is even less. Apple give a full warranty on refurbs, so that may be an option. I love my iPad3.
Me too!! And mom thought about getting an iPad2. I dunno. I'll check into both, and see what she wants to do.

Yes, I have the Galaxy Tab 7 - refurbished via Verizon for $129. Never a problem with it - I would consider it an excellent intro into the world of tabs - especially at that price - easy to carry around (fits in purse/workbag), easy to learn how to use, holds a long charge. You know my typing skills on it, ahem...
A 10 inch screen would be nicer and not that much more cumbersome for the right price - either Pad or Tab; I like both. Might be easier on her eyes, her fingers if she'll be typing...
But I can highly recommend the refurbished route from my experience.

they want you to do with that, touch yourself. not me. I'd rather have one of
