Hey Pokey ... you use Liquinator tanks don't you ... or at least make your own.

How do you like them?

I've got four and think their super just for the amount of jooce they hold and the flavor isn't bad on them either.

TT

I have one Liquinator. Love it, love it, love it.
I was supposed to be making some, but I lost the links. That's what Salem was picking on me about last night, lol.

I would love to have more. But knowing I could make one for a dollar sure slows me down on dropping $25 on a pre-made.
I am cheap like that, sometimes. :)

I know you've told me but it is early/late this morning - which cartos are you using?

I'm only using duel coils on the Liquinators.

(Thanks for finding my reading glasses Ever1ast - they surehelp!!!)

I've got one on my Phidias, Buzz and 5v pass-through. I only use them around the house and use my GoGo's for outside. The Liquinators are a bit delicate for outside doing things.

And I hated to buy four of them, but how in the world could you make one for a buck? The end caps alone are real expensive. I checked them out online.

One funny story though. I couldn't find stainless duel coil cartos anywhere. The only one that seemed to have them were the Liquinator people.

So I ordered three boxes. At the price they were asking I just knew it was for a box!

Well, I received three slotted duel coil cartos.

Lesson learned.

For three???
ouch.

And as for how to make them for buck a piece -- if I had the links, I'd share them. LOL

But those don't have the nice end caps like the real deal. It's a trade off.

Ok, my friends, Pokey's fading fast...time for a power nap and to get back on track in the world of the living. I'll catch up with y'all later.

Well, Goooooooood Morning Texas T's House......(spoken in my best Robin Williams voice). Thought I would catch a quick catch-up read here...haha. 20 pages since I said good night. You all were certainly busy here. And now I am probably here by myself since most of you are probably sleeping it off. So I will respond and by the time this gets posted it will be afternoon and I will be current with you.

HEY...WAKE UP TG, CHURCH HAS BEEN OVER FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS NOW AND THE JANITOR WANTS TO CLEAN UNDER YOUR PEW.

Thanks for the cinnamon roll, K Space. It was delicious--warm and gooey. And I appreciate that you took out the calories before serving it.

Texas men in kilts----yep that is a mental photo.....or a photo of mentals.

I think I am a southerner at heart......love boiled peanuts, they are delicious made in the crockpot. Love grits, sweetened ice tea, pecan pie and manners.

Wishing your family a safe trip home, TT Sir, and give that grandaughter a hug from Gramva.

I love the smell of those cookies baking, Salem.......or is that the juice I am smelling.

Love reading all your posts. Because you have entertained me so well this morning, I am wishing a terrific day to everyone. And now, I am going to go have a cup of coffee with my husband before he thinks I have left him for you folks.

I think I ate the last roll. 2nd cup of coffee and still not awake. Benadryl does that to me. I use it to fall asleep. Otherwise I cannot sleep. I suppose alcohol would be a better sleep agent. It is a fabulous 72 degrees in Wisconsin. The mosquitos are terrible and I am thinking of wearing my protective gear in the garden. I just went out to pick a few tomato's and now have a guesstimate of 30 bites.

Oh well got to get ready for my weekend job.....have fun.

Tech! sdh! Gramva! Toto!

Just poppin' in for a glass of afternoon tea - and saying hellos.

What are boiled peanuts? I think I need to try them!

Boiled Peanuts are an art form, Tech. Green peanuts boiled on the stove, a big cast iron cauldron in the yard, or just pressure cooked in brine/salt water until....well, just until. There's just a feel to knowing when they're done; it's just one of those things.

Different peanuts from different areas add there own zest to the treat - bringing with them traces of the minerals of the earth in which they were grown. A Florida peanut vs. a Georgia peanut vs. a South Carolina peanut all different - from the variety of peanut itself as well as the signature taste of its home dirt, be it last years crop (meh), to fresh from the garden new crop (best); they all have their subtle differences.

Not for everyone, they can be eaten warm, room temp or cold. It's a matter of preference. And like many delicacies of the world, many people may not enjoy them for what they are. But I sure do - having grown up with them being served on the back porch or the lawn with a pitcher of tea or lemonade for the youngsters and icy cold beer for those who imbibe; and, always, a roll of paper towels to pass around as needed - they can be a messy endeavor at times.

But don't buy the canned ones if you find them to try - they suck. :)

I have family in the panhandle--whenever we visit, the boiled peanuts stands start popping up along the road from central AL all the way to the gulf. We usually have to try from several different stands. They have the consistancy more like a bean. I buy green ones from Walmart since we do not grow peanuts here, put them in the crock pot and cook all day and night on low. And I put cayenne pepper in the water along with the salt cause I like them spicy. Now my mouth is watering.

Toto: Congratulations on hitting 1000 posts.

Life is funny: on the forum we congratulate each other for hitting certain post milestones.....if we knew each other in real life, we'd be saying (behind each other's backs),"Don't they ever shut up?"

LOL on the "don't they ever shut up"....Thanks for the congrats...seems like I have gotten more talkative lately....LOL

I don't recall having ever heard of boiled peanuts before. First thought was if WallyWorld has them green, maybe I could make some too. Then I had second thoughts with the way I cook any more "how would I know that I messed up in the cooking or I just didn't like them".....

Pokey I so enjoy your avi and sig.....

How is Pokey today? What have you been doing?

Pokey is good. Tired, but good. What have I been doing? Uhhhh....not much, lol. Short nap, swim, eat...seems like there should be more to it than that; the day has been very long for me not to have accomplished more than that.

I had coffee with TT this morning. That's where the rest of the day went, lol.

Oh yeah, and I made a shopping list. For tomorrow. It includes some PGA and that's something that can't be bought on Sunday in these parts...so why make two trips when you can make one and put it off another day? :)

Pokey I so enjoy your avi and sig.....

Awww...thank you, Toto. It's ever changing lately but my goal is to keep Pokey in it somewhere from here on out. I feel naked without him. :)

Oh yes...my sig. Everyone takes that a little bit differently - depending where their mind is at the moment.
