Hey Sdh & Echo...I'm trolling around the forums before heading off to sleepy time. Too tired to do anything but talk nonsense so this is probably the right place to be! Echo is being a mad lurker and giving me nightmares, so I'd better just sulk off to another sub forum where tales are still being spun...

Chatty bunch here lately. It's taking me longer and longer to read back and try to remember what and who said what each day!

I feel as though I have had an Out of Body Experience this morning getting caught up in the house.

Well, my rash and hives don't seem to be clearing up much - if at all. I sure would have thought I'd see some improvement by now.

Still trying to ascertain if going to be a good or bad day in KS TT. Suppose to top out at 105 deg today....Thank goodness we had enough rain a couple weeks ago that we aren't having the fires y'all are.
Thinking it is September and squirrel hunting time. So long since I have had squirrel. I could never fry it like my Mother where it just melted in one's mouth; would also bake with dressing. I remember when my cousins were coming and my father told them it was chicken as they didn't want any squirrel. They didn't want any milk that didn't come from the store either. Our kids grew up on dairy milk. When they would stay with us, I would get a store milk container and pour in the whole milk and they never had a clue.
I fixed barbecued .... a few times. Everybody said it was delicious. I could not eat it because of the cooking "smell".
We also had rabbit....wild and tame. We even raised rabbits when we were first married that we "dressed" and sold. No not in clothes. I ground up rabbit and made chili with it even. Hummm, maybe we won't starve to death if times get really bad. LOL
If I am up to it, will probably go to Free Watermelon Feed at a very small local town's "100th Annual Homecoming". Hubby told me this morn that he entered me in the Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest and that I should practice. I told him I needed to breathe before I could spit! Too bad your nips are bothering you TT or you could run up and take my place. I bet you would really be good at spitting those seeds!!! I saw how far "you used to be able to spit" that tobacco out behind the barn! As windy as Gramva is she would probably be a good spitter too. Too bad they didn't plan their vacation sooner so that they could have been here for it with all kinds of fun things going on besides the WSSC. Would have made them a very memorable vacation. Oh my, I see where they are having a Decorated Cookie Jar contest-Salem, sd, tg, tech, Gv would love to get in on this I am sure. As well as, a "Car Rally for Tots"--bring your battery powered toy and join the parade...SC, Echo, TT, and Padre would love this...you could follow along behind the big boys with their antique cars. Tis too bad we didn't plan sooner, we all could have had a grand ole time over in "Coal Hollow"....Well, there is always next year!!!!

LOL, I tried that stuff Cousin K-Space and I started putting out three quarts a day. Had to get off it!

And your right. Spitting is one of the things I do best! I can do tricks with watermelon seeds - even call my shots and hit my target every time. That's because I don't declare it as being a target until I hit it.
