I got a whole crap load of stuff with the Marlboro Miles, never did sign up for a mailing list though. I don't know if I'm remembering correctly, but I don't think they are allowed to put their logo on the giveaways anymore, can anyone confirm that?

Logos were banned back during the "miles" age. Now its like a star emblem type logo with no name. You have to enter contests on their website to win stuff

In order to "break it to me" I'd have to be unaware of the fact to begin with... I know businesses are out to make money. But not all businesses sell their souls and the lives of their customers to stay in the black....like the tobacco companies do.

Did you ever call the CEO of RJR to wish him a happy birthday? No? Me either... We must be horrible people then.

To be fair, I have never called any CEO to wish them a happy birthday, im sure not many people do.

I am not supporting tobacco companies, but the truth is, they sell a product, and they are only in business as long as legally able to do so and people buy tobacco products. As cigarettes will not become illegal any time soon if ever, it comes down to people like you and I to take personal responsibility not to purchase tobacco. We cant blame the beer companies when people die by not counting their drinks, just like we shouldnt blame tobacco companies when people knowingly accept the risks in their purchase.

We are all here, including you and I, because we accept a personal responsibility to quit smoking, a personal decision that attempts to rectify any tobacco habits we had in the past.

American Spirit sent me seeds for flowers embedded into some kind of biodegradable paper for my birthday. But my bday is in November, not exactly a time for planting things.

Best part was they shipped it in a little plastic bottle with a cork.

Oh and they sent me a Christmas card with a picture of the employees in front of their plant.

I also got a grip of stuff from Camel back in the day. Cheapo-zippo (still works fine), tons of coupons (some for their snus that made me feel sick as hell), some other SWAG that I've lost.

I don't know if that was ever made Federal, but State by State these promotion items and coupons have been restricted or eliminated altogether. In mAssachusetts that went into effect at least seven years ago: No promotional items allowed to be mailed to Massachusetts residents, no "UPC's for stuff" offers, no coupons on cigarette purchases. We used to be on Merit and Basic mailing lists. The final mailing we got from the .... companies informed us that the promotions were terminated because of State law.
