Congrats on making the change! I still had some cravings for the first week, more so when I was around smokers. I tried more juice until I found a few I really liked and eventually cigs started smelling more and more repulsive every time I was around smokers. It's not the same for sure, it's better than smoking!

Congrats! Getting off the stinkies will be one of the best things you can do for yourself.
+1 to all the support above. I was a 2 PAD smoker and any inconvenience or discomfort from ecigs 1) (is due to healing, and) didn't last long and 2) was completely eclipsed by the benefits of not inhaling burning death. I kept the half pack of smokes I was working on when I received my first e-power kit nearly two years ago; the last one I smoked was the morning my package arrived! I still have them somewhere.

Keep it up, you'll be glad you did!

4-5 pad wow. Congrats on the first step and stick with it.

Mornings aren't bad but i usually take smaller draws on the first few. After that it's clouds again.

Some advice for the first few months, do not let yourself run out of charge or liquid. After a few months you might be able to handle an hour or so until you get to some but always keep more than you think you need with you at first.

Keep it up and you'll learn to love it.

I was a 3 pad a day 40 year smoker. Morning was the worst. 5+ cigarettes with my morning coffee was the norm. When I switched, the first week or so, the cravings for that morning cigarette were the hardest to resist. I had 2 cigarettes the first morning, 2 the second, 1 the third, then I started vaping thru the cravings. It was tough...but I got thru it.

Like a few other posters in this thread, I don't vape first thing in the morning anymore. When I smoked, I'd stumble out of bed, grab a cup of joe and head out to the garage or patio to have a cigarette before my eyes were even fully open. Now I don't even think about vaping until after breakfast.

Best of luck on your journey - you're off to a great start!

The first vape to me every morning is the closest comparison to smoking than any other. Rough, kind of scratchy and harsh, gives you a nice nic buzz and really gets the day started. It's almost exactly like smoking a cigarette, but a little smoother and it doesn't stink in the cold car.

That first vape is really the best part of the day.

Good luck!

You wait for your first vape of the day until you're in a car? That wouldn't work for me unless I slept in a car. I do try to wait until I get my coffee though...

Congrats Keith!
I am very new to this as well. I have to say the first vap in the morning for me has to be a tobacco blend and after brushing my teeth and the morning cup of coffee I can move on to other flavors.

I am still experimenting with tobacco blends and have more sitting in my cart at Heather Heavenly Vape + some more coming from Halo.

Good luck. I am still bouncing between analogs and vaping for right now. I have gone from a pack a day to 4-5 analogs a day. A major win for me. I hope to be analog free for New Years.

may i suggest getting your self some fruit flavors or drink flavors to mix it up a bit. I still havent found a tobacco i like(thoug theres an order comming from HHV and ive read some really good stuff)

Love the Blueberry! This is my 3rd day (2nd morning) & I actually feel like a non-smoker. As some have have said, that first morning was a little rough. Not for craving tobacco, but the first vape. I hit it lightly, waited 10/15 min & all was fine. As you suggested Bob, I for some odd reason I was drawn to the fruit flavors. I purchased some tobac flavor & find I really don't like them much (but will smoke them LOL. Doing peach (dekanger) right now. Having this forum with all it's great people is a huge help.

After 18 days now quitting toxic tobacco and feeling like i have been born again.I will admit for me first thing in the morning for me i find the first throat hit a bit harsh for some reason, but after that im good to go all day without no problems,i look forward to the mornings more than ever.Put it this way,you will love this way of satisfying your cravings.

This use to be the case for me as well. The forst couple of drags were a bit harsh. Now that I have been aping and not somking over a year this no longer happens.

CONGRATS KEITH!

Congrats budynbuick! It is an amazing thing to say "I don't smoke" after so many years. It was about 30 years for me.

I wish I had kept a journal of my first weeks of not smoking. I started with SafeCig. I just remember getting up in the morning, opening the drawer and looking at it..ok..there it is..it was so strange to vape rather than smoke. But I worked through it. What really helped is when I discovered juice flavors. I realized I couldn't change flavors in SafeCig which led me to try KGOs and cartomizers...then I discovered clearomizers..then a C twist now I'm using a vari tube with a mini vivi nova. Vaping different flavors is what really sealed the deal for me.

I don't recall having withdrawals..but I'm sure I did..or I just thought I was sick. I don't vape right away in the morning. Usually I'll take my shower, feed the cats, start the coffee then vape. And so far I haven't slept with my ecig next to me..it stays in the drawer all night. I do chain vape when I'm not at work.
