Good job on sticking it through!!!
I started smoking when I was about 12 years and didn't really stop until I was about 18. I quit for over a year then somewhere I picked it back up. I think it is because about 90% of the military smoked analogs, but its still my choice. What I had to do to quite for that long was make the decision to stop. Now that I discovered ECF and E-Cigs, I dont have any doubt kicking it is going to be a whole lot easier then the first time :)
Good luck and keep on vaping!!!!!

Got to a point where they were dry or flooded, no middle ground. No vapor = unhappy lady! Blew them out and placed both on paper towel overnight, working fine today. I think using the "blue foam" that I purchased yesterday may have contributed to the problem. I feel like I am starting a new relationship, and the PV and I are still in the "getting to know you" stage. :p Feels like I have to constantly fiddle with it to get good results.
I'm gonna go look up cartomizers before I do anything else.

I want to thank you all again for the words of encouragement. It really does help to have a sounding board for my frustration.

Glad to hear you tried again. It takes a little time and is like you say about the "getting to know you" phase. I am glad you found the forum early in your "relationship" :)
Cartomizers are a good idea and since you already have a 510 battery those would be the least expensive solution for you. I always hear that cignot is a great source. I personally have not ordered from them (yet) but I hear so many good things about them. They are also in the midwest so it would be quick shipping for you.
A few people have recommended v4l and kr808 cartos. They are really good and a great company. I am not afraid to recommend V4L to anyone because I order from them regularly. What I think would be a better solution for you is the 510 cartys from cignot because you already have those parts. After you get more use to things you can and most likely will try other models.
There is so much to learn and everyone here is awesome. Happy Vaping!

I too went through a period where I both smoked AND vaped at the same time. It's a very natural progression while you get the vaping thing down. The most important thing is not to stress about smoking while your new "hobby" takes hold.

I also HIGHLY recommend cartomizers... they'll make your vaping experience much more enjoyable. Try both the KR808 and 510 refillable cartos and pick the one you like the best. Once you have your juice choice nailed down you can refill enough at one sitting to last you all week. The more simple and satisfying you make the vaping experience, the more likely you are to succeed.

p.s. If you find you're constantly charging/changing stock batteries, look at the Ego or some of the mods that use a 14500 battery or larger.

Good luck! :)

The more I hear about problems and endless fiddling with the 510, the happier I am with my KR808D-1 from Vapor4Life. The 510 is clearly a pain in the neck with the added bonus of a short battery life. Why do so many people like it? It sounds like a nightmare.

Hardly a nightmare, and there's no difference in the battery life between regular Kr808's and the 510. I have both kits and the flavor is 10 times better from a 510 than it is from a 808. Don't even get me STARTED on the V4L flavors..:nah:

Now, THEY'RE a nightmare..

Well, first of all, the fiddling is not always endless for everyone.
Many people find simple solutions that work for them.

And also, many people LIKE to fiddle with them.
:)

Also, the stock 510 hits better than anything else, and that matters to a lot of people.

I use drip tips to drip with my 510 so I never fiddle with anything at all anymore.
Using no filler material is the best way to get maximum throat hit, flavor, and vapor.

I tried cartomizers, and they made my juice taste funny.
And I lost a lot of throat hit, and a lot of vapor production in the bargain.

I still have 25 blank cartomizers and two KR808D-1 adapters, and I doubt I'll ever use them again.

domino, is this true, in your opinion?
The reason I ask is that a few weeks ago I made my first 510 mod so I could judge the difference between it and the 901. Frankly I was disappointed in the flavor drop with the 510 but I'm thinking I want to use cartos for driving. I was thinking of trying kr8 cartos 'cause the threading matches the 901s but I'd either need to drill a tiny hole in the base of the connecter or use an adapter (venting difference). If the flavor is even LESS with the kr8 than the 510 it must be almost non existant.

IMHO Mist, yup. Although, that being said, I have yet to try a 901. But, the V4L flavors, to ME, are downright NASTY. I think I COULD vape their liquids, but only if TV went up in flames..

But, as we ALL know, taste is subjective! But, I ALSO know I'm FAR from being on my own regarding V4L's flavors.

I DO like their empty Premium cartos, they're the only ones, along with Vapornine's, that DON'T change the taste of my beloved AC into something out of a PLASTIC nightmare, but I still find the 'truest' representation of the flavors is with carts, not carto's.

If you like the Kr808's better than the 510's, GREAT!! We'll just agree to disagree..after all this IS ECF...;)

Still friends, Mist? :)

Oh, this ain't no competition domino. It's an adventure of discovery. :) I went to the trouble to build a high voltage 510 pipe mod (with decorative wood veneer I might add) just to find out what they vape like.
I'd like to try the kr808d-1 next but I gotta be honest with ya, the bestest cloud I've blown so far is from a high resistance 901 atty at 6 volts. You should really try it. If Toronto wasn't so far from the center of southern Michigan I'd prove it to ya.
Seriously though, when crappy stock batteries are out of the picture the 901 at 6V kicks some serious a**! Throat hit and all.

The truest representation of flavor is dripping or dipping...

After that, I can POSSIBLY consider it a matter of opinion.
:)

But in my opinion this is how the rest of the field breaks down...
1) Cartridges with Zero Filler Mod
2) Cartridges with blue foam or PTB
3) Anything else, including cartomizers or cartridges with other filler

If your 25 blank cartomizers fit my 510, I would gladly pay for the shipping for you to send them to me.

I can't really speak to the flavor comparisons, but after I switched to dripping, and especially after I got a drip tip, the whole vaping thing got an awful lot more consistent. Equally important: more forgiving. Seems like even when I mess up and over-drip a bit (I can tell: difficult draw and/or the gurgle), I can avert the flood with a few l-o-o-o-n-g gentle drags.
