Ok, I just put in a 28g 1.5ohm and 1.4ohm single microcoil on the primary and backup KFL's that run on the ZNA. No more flashy flashy. :) Should I run those at my previous 12W or something different?!
Dusty you're gonna need 15 watts to get above 4.2 volts on the 1.5 ohm coil , you'll need a bit more for the 1.4 .

^hehe not to distract this thread more. But you won't generally have to work with 4.2V. I had a pretty extensive conversation with Brandon, and he mentioned that the minimum voltage the dna30 can output is based on the voltage of the battery UNDER LOAD.

I usually just think of a fresh batt as 4.0V under load, and use that to determine how low a resistance I can build :)

So, using 4V as the baseline, it's safe to assume that setting my wattage at 12 should cover both the coils and take advantage of the DNA 30 chipset?

Yeap it should! There are variance of course.

I had been talking to Brandon regarding "inconsistencies": on fresh batts, some mods seem to be able to "regulate" down to 4, some 3.8ish V etc.

    His reminder was simply that:
    1) the chip seeks to output the user specific wattage to the coil (ie it compensates for any VD along the way)
    2) there are many contribution to both VD and voltage sag: health of the battery, quality of the connections within the mod etc etc.

So while a battery fresh is 4.2V, and the chip cannot down regulate that, by virtual of sag and VD, the actual applied voltage can be less than the battery's voltage.

Anyways based purely on empirical observations (aka my limited experience with 4 dna30 mods), doing my calculations and builds based off 4V has been useful :)

Ugh , don't know what I was thinking , got that reversed . We've gone from 80 degrees to 35 degrees in 24 hrs , my head feels like it's gonna explode .

I like to plug the unused channels with cotton soaked with VG. Cotton is good for soaking up juice and holding it, blocking the unused channel. In the coil I use rayon because rayon is better for transporting the juice.

Overall, I'm very impressed with the Aqua2 clone. It's not hard to wick, never leaks and the air/juice adjustment is very exact and smooth. It's right up there with my favorite Rose and a fraction of the price. A hard act to follow, but I'm reading a long thread in the UKV forum about the next killer topper called the Ubertoot.

Does nobody else use silicone from a carto cap to block the 2nd juice channels?

I did it about a week after I got my V2, and haven't had to touch it since.

One time fix, until I decide to go back to duals.

Dusty, I tried your fix but couldn't get strips of silicone tom stay in the juice channel. Do you roll the silicone into a tube?

Sorry, my bad.. I don't use the thin sections but rather the conical piece that is on the bottom cap of the cart. I cut it in half and then trimmed to fit the juice slots.

That being said, you should also be able to cut and fit the little silicone plug that sits in the top of the carto. White piece below..

Just rebuilt 2 of my AquaV2 clones with dual coils, since I'm not getting the TH needed with the lower 12mg liquids. And, yep, I'm getting the TH now :)

I probably could have just did a single sub-ohm coil instead of duals coming to around .5 ohm for the same effect, but it was good practice. Wasn't too bad to build with those wonky post holes, which was a pleasant surprise.

I really love the Aqua V2 but has anyone else noticed that it has a relatively long break in period when changing wicks? It does not seem to matter which type of wick material or thickness in the channels or coil, I always experience a rather long break in time when compared to say a Kayfun, Orchid or even genesis set up with rayon or cotton.

So last night I was changing flavors in the Aqua v2 while watching TV with the wife. Now I was going from a fruit mix to a Tribeca clone so I wanted every last drop out of the Aqua but was not where I normally work on my vape gear. So after removing the coil deck assembly from the tank I set the tank on top of a empty Coke can to let it drain while I wiped down the deck as I only had one paper towel with me. A few hours later I sat back down in my easy chair and yep grabbed that empty can of Coke and took a sip let me just say that juice tastes a lot better vaped!

I did something similar back when i used loose snus. I had a bad habit of discarding the snus in an empty or close to empty can of beer or soda and more than twice experienced a horrible taste of snus mixed with beer.

No. I find the opposite. It wicks extremely well, and I don't even need primer puffs, unlike a KFL style.

I found a piece of very dense foam in the box my Efest charger came in. Rolled a little foam tube and stuffed the unused channel. No juice is getting through now.
