And why not cross-post here too, what's been written on FB already.

Risking redundancy (Kat's FAVORITE expression of mine!)...

>

I would just like to say that, for the past week or so, I've been testing some things that some might consider to be competition, or maybe even "successors" to the Billet Box.

Both are fine products, considerably more expensive that the BB's, and I've no issues whatsoever with them. But even the smaller of the two was no match, portability wise, for the true & total awesomeness of the Billet Box.

HOWEVER, yesterday (Friday), I could no longer take it, and whipped out my trusty-traveling BB's (two-in-a-hand!).

Honestly, they felt so small and light that it was like I was using a cigalike, except with GREAT vaping power.

Bottom line: This is NO competition, nor successor, for the greatness of The Billet Box. At least not in these eyes.

This is not to demerit any of the many fine products on the market today, of which there are many. But instead to clarify the differences, and reconfirm what many of us have felt for years now.

The Billet Box stands alone.

Thank YOU, Billet Box Vapor!!!

K, i'll be thinking out the rules, and getting the board designed this weekend. I don't have a giant whiteboard anymore cuz my office was taken over a while back for "more important things" (god i miss that white board)... but i have an idea so the battlefield will be good. For the few of ya that have no idea what Battle Pillarz is, fear not as rules will be posted before the game starts. I like the Pitter/subPittar ya guys did last time, so i think that will be a go... For a prize... i'm thinking there will be a 1st place, 2nd place, and maybe some sub targets... I'll give myself the weekend to set the thing up and come monday, BP3 will commence...

Google Sheets can do some pretty cool stuffs. And you happen to know someone who is fairly handy with columns & rows, IF you even require such assistance.

And to dearest @Krisma (XX), screw the time zones. We'll wait. You PLAY too this time!
Totally agree with this!! No problems waiting for you sweetie, or anyone else. Sometimes a person just can't get on at certain times. We'll all play as quickly as we can, but no worries if we need to wait a lil bit for someone. I'm sure DD will set an appropriate time to move on if someone hasn't played for awhile, but they just miss a round.
As for me, I'm usually on here each day, but if something happens that I haven't played, no problem to skip me for a round, it just meant I couldn't get on for some reason.

So happy to see this thread revived.......and very happy to see mr DD. Hope whatever it was that kept you away has been resolved in a great way!!

I don't have Facebook so I do rely on this thread to stay up with the BB news. I feel the same as DP. I love the mods I made but the BB's are in my hands every day and are my go to devices.

I just took a look the the site, and I was surprised to see that they still had both of the Boro tanks still in stock. :?:
I have never seen any of those last this long before, I wish I had the cash to order right now, I would like to get one of each. I hope in a couple of weeks this happens again. I really would like to order another BB, one that I can keep nice, my 2 are showing some wear. :(

A question I was asked a while ago is can you polish the carbon fibre panels if they get scratched or is there a coating on top that needs replacing. I know you can put wraps on but if you don't want that sort of finish can you bring them back to shiny.

I am not sure but I think it is some kind of plastic cover over the carbon fiber, maybe Mr. DD can answer that? Mine are scratched up as well but mainly, the aluminum on my RPG is scratched up, and so is my regular clear anodized, but they go to work with me everyday, so kind of expected.

Sense I got my 2, I have always carried them both, they had scratches within a week, I always intended to buy 2 more just like them and use my first 2 as beaters so to speak, I just never did it. I have a 5 pawns castle long clone in my RPG, and a recipe I call Brown Car (a peanut butter caramel flavor) in the other, 2 of my ADV's.

Ya' really perked "My" interest with this picture - so I went to the BB Website . . . Imagine "My" surprise when I see that it is reference to the "Oscar Mike" . . . So First - CONGRATULATIONS ! ! !

Now - I don't remember ever seeing some of these names - Not only is there the "Oscar Mike" - I see there are now: "Glaucus"; "Paua Piebald" ; & "Ratbalone" . . .
anim-question-mark-smiley-75.gif

So - Someone tell "Me" when did "DD" come up with all these new names for the "BB" (and if they are not new then how did I miss seeing them before). . .

AND - How is that there are still a number "BB's" & even Boro tanks still for sale . . .

Oscar Mike was the original green w/black button. The counterpart, with abalone, was TMNBB (Teenage Mutant Ninja Billet Box). The latter was always a favorite name of mine, and was the gift I got for my now-son-in-law, last Christmas. Another other child, paternal son, got a Rat Black.

I asked both if they wanted anything new & different this year. I received two resounding, "NOPE!" replies. They're both totally satisfied with their BB's, and refuse to consider anything but.

The Mad Facebook Hype appears to have died down again. From what I can tell, things are still moving out, but they now last through Sunday.

The last I knew they were running (producing) at full capacity. Only DD knows for sure, but if this is still the case, they remain a long way (five days, to be exact) from being able to keep up with demand.

Is there another mod, three years after it was first introduced, that could come close to saying anything similar?

That was a rhetorical question. The dayum thing is still the most amazing mod ever to grace our hands. :)

I'm remembering that someone has an RPG - Krisma or Bamrz, maybe? From the website it's hard to see what color the RPG is. The site says it's purple-gray. Huh? Looks more gray or maybe mauve, to me - but I'm looking through an iPad. Will whomever has it please describe? Thanks!

I do. It's gorgeous, but I fell in love with it at first site. It's a blue-gray (soft) that's very difficult to capture in pictures.

RPG stands for Royal-Purple-Gray, which is the color combo he mashed together to come up with it.

Kat and @2423kids called it a "boy" color (when I totally flipped my lid at the sight). That was back when everyone was waiting for "girl colors" to come out.

THIS boy LOVES it, and is ever-appreciative of receiving it this past birthday. :):) to the two who are responsible. And some :wub: too.
