So at some point, the batteries just won't fire, and that's it?
I'm worried about discharging them too low...
That is what they say on the BB web page so that is what I have went with and have not had any problems. Also as far as I can tell none of my cells have been discharged to low.

Yup, that's it. I never worried about it - just change the batteries when they stop firing. When I put them on the charger, one usually reads 3.47 and the other, 3.43. I'm not quite 2 years with a BB. DP, Kat, Bamrz, Krisma, J5 and lots more have been using a BB quite a bit longer. I've not heard anyone say they're worried. I might've missed it, but I think no one is worried. :)

I get the best performance out of Trustfire flame jacket batteries. I have around 5 different brands but they outlast the others
Glad they're workin for ya, but there is no way I would use a trustfire. I don't know that much about batteries, but I trust mooch and baditude cuz they do understand just about everything about em, and they say not to go near em. Good nuff for me.
I'm not being critical of you for using them, prolly shouda quoted krisma, cuz that's more for her than you since you like em

do you have anything to measure the batt voltage? You can a cheap DMM at harbor freight, or get a better one, but my 6.00 one works fine. You could check the batt, say 1/2 way through the day, if it's still fine, check it at night. If it's low, just change em each night. If it's too low, change em earlier.

Just curious...is anyone still using cartos with their BB? Thanks!

I have a Boge in mine right now not sure what one it is but it is working just fine. I needed to do a cotton change on the BVC I had in it and did not have time. I left the boge in there as it is working just fine.

Ok sooo...I won't have a chance to get my BBox up and running until tomorrow or the next day...

Anyone know if the Nautilus coils work well?
I've got a bridge in the mail, and a carto is a little too tight a draw for me.

I've owned many Nautilus tanks, and I currently use a Kabuki, so I'm familiar with the coil itself.
I'm just curious about the performance in the BBox.

Gah DAYUM!!! Who is this HBcorpse guy???
Could he BE any more needy???

I use nautilus tanks and tried the nautilus coils in the comfort bridge. For me personally and my style I prefer the BVC and the classic bridge.

I guess I kept thinking of this as a mechanical, and that the batteries would vent if I drained them too low!
The BB does have a low voltage cut off as peeps were saying earlier. The board will stop firing before the cells get to low to be damaged. Just run them down till they stop firing and you will be ok. If you are taking it to work or out somewhere for multiple hours take a spare set of batteries with you as you get little to no warning when it stops working. A fresh set will get me thru work but I still keep a pair in my back pack just in case.

A mechanical will over drain batterys for sure, but the BB will not.

Luckily I'll have both!
Thank you!

Literally just felt a physical wave of relief wash over me.
I pretty much refuse to use mechanical mods...

This is an hour long, but it's an interview with the director of A Billion Lives. They need from the vapers! If you haven't heard about the documentary, look it up, it was released in New Zealand, and now the Govt there is considering changing their ban!!!

Make sure you like their FB page if you have FB. I don't use FB, but I did sign in and do that since I have an acct that I largely ignore. Also share about the documentary. They said one of the big problems is that it's not getting enough attention from vapers. So folks think if vapers don't care about it, why should they.

Buy T-shirts and wear them

If you have netflix, call 1-866-579-7172 24/7 I believe, I just called them at 11:30 pm. Tell them about the video and ask them to purchase it and promote it in theaters and put it on netflix. The lady told me they don't do that, but they can see about getting the licensing for it, but the director said that they do that sometimes with movies. Either way, it'll get Netflix' attention if a lot of us call about it.

If you know a zillionaire, tell em to donate to the guys doing it so they can get it in theaters here in the US. lol

The article on IMR batts was a very good read. Thanks, @Katdarling.

One of the (several) things I learned is that ICR batteries can be overcharged, while IMRs can't. Does anyone know if the chargers we use (e.g., XTAR) will overcharge a battery? Mine appears to stop at 4.2, but I'm now curious. As well, does resting a battery after charging mitigate that risk? TIA!

I know I'm about to ask a very loaded question here… But, I am a spoiled Provarinati...
How the heck do I know when it is time to change the batteries?
I'm not going to be able to notice a difference in performance… And without a battery meter, or gauge, I'm not really sure I'll know!

I guess there's no harm in charging the batteries every night… Lithium ion batteries don't really care about full use/charge cycles.

I also don't want to attempt to continue use of the device, if the batteries are too low on charge. Is there any protection in this device at all?

As always, thank you in advance for all the help and support!

There is SO much batt info out there, it would seem it might take years to absorb it all, but Battery U has always been one of our better resources. Here's one page that may (or may not) be of interest to you.

Frequetly Asked Questions on How to Charge Batteries

I've always treated my batts like they were working out. Give them some time to warm up (a rest period before using them) and give them a good stretch and cool down after the session (rest after charging).

It's all in my new book, Life Lessons Via Vaping, Chapter 17, "Relationships". ;)
