Is the right-hand version a little darker than the other?
Hard to tell with shadows etc.

Yes (and hi, Tom Drake). The one on the right is considerably more red. It's much more discernible in person, and indicative of everything I've seen from the many that have passed through my hands. They're always just a touch different from the last one (of the same color) that I've seen.

Technically, no. However many of them DO work fine, so I always recommend that someone try it before ordering a 4 version. I think Kat's 4 tip works in all of her R3's, but mine only works in two of five. It's hit and miss.

Bret said that they're cut with slightly different tolerances. I can see the differences when I compare the two, but that doesn't keep them from working in some R3's.

Above MY paygrade, that's for sure.

Have a Rev.3 Ohman AIO tip on its way to me from Krisma here in Oz...
AND I'm really going to try and get my first BB Rev.4 this weekend.

I've had 'several' Rev.3s over the last couple of years... love them...
Have given a few to 'new vaper' friends I've been trying to convert off the stinkies
(Has ALWAYS worked)
And sold a couple on the wonderful AVF forum here in Australia.
BUT I still have, and will always have, my very first Raw Polished BB, which I still think is the most beautiful!
I remember when I finally managed to buy it in a full-on F5 war as it was back in the day...
Once the purchase was confirmed I did a little dance around the room! Seriously!

Now I think I'm ready for a BB.4!
Hopefully I can grab one this weekend.
THAT would be absolutely wonderful.

Congrats on the Ohman integrated. I hope that yours is much like mine so that you can use it on the new one. Maybe I just got lucky that mine are intolerant to tolerances.

Like you, I still have my very first Rev 1.1 polished raw, and will keep that forever and ever. Tho I didn't do the room dance, nor did I have to battle an F5 war, I did have to wait MONTHS and MONTHS from the time I placed the order to D Day. And was it worth the wait?

Different runs result in different shades (trust someone who has held a ton of them, for various reasons). My RPG is beautiful, more gray than purple.

Mine is too.

If I snapped a pic of the two orange ones I have on hand, you'd REALLY see the difference in shades.

I wonder if you JMK tips fit the Rev 4
While we are here one of the Aussie guys is going to rhodium plate a couple of brass screws for me. That way I can have the titanium/silver look on all the boxes with panels, how very cool is that.

You know I have multiples of the same colour and in RL they are noticeably different. Not just the colour but the textures as well.

A quick pic of some more panel playing. I wondered what the carbon fibre would look like with a thicker coat of resin. It's actually quite facinating to watch the pattern through the depth and the feel is as lovely as the actual panels.

So I like refuse to build any of my other devices until this first Aspire BVC coil is done... I'm almost at the end of week 3 on this coil and it's still going strong. (This is the dirt coil exposed to DIY Tobacco mixes).

I'm blown away... Just been filling and changing the battery once/day in rev4's and experiencing nothing but flawless vaping.... The best vaping I've had in my 3.5 years since I quit the real thing.

This... This is why I decided to buy another BB...! Lol. How can I change from what has been the closest to perfection that I've experienced in vaping so far??? Especially with the PA 40% tax that I'm "supposed to pay" starting on Oct 1st... Just been stock piling for this impending Vapeocolypse...

I don't believe any of the Bridge options are Rev 3 only, so you should be good. Some are Boro tank only, but Boros exist for both 3 & 4.

OK getting excited here, late on Saturday night, in Melbourne, Australia!
The week's BB release is getting close... my F5 finger is starting to twitch.twitch.twitch...

After much thought - I'm gonna try for a silver / clear - the 'classic' that I know and love.

Of course, the 'Ratblack' is an absolute classic too - VERY tempted. Had a V.3A version of that for a while.

Gave it to a friend! Who promptly lost it over the side of the boat he was living on, while in severe bad weather... Damn! We laughed as well as cried - as apparently it sort of 'jumped' ship... bouncing across the cabin and out of one of the portholes as a big swell / wave came through. We agreed that happy little ocean critters would probably live in it on the ocean floor forever?! Hahaha.
I got him another one though... which he is happily vaping to this day

Boy was it tough between Dober and RPG Piebald..... Argh was it tough! I thought I had my mind made up on Dober until I kept staring at both this morning... That was TOUGH! I hope I don't regret going Dober.
