When my first builds weren't coming in anywhere close to what Steam Engine predicted, I started looking into what was causing the difference. At first, I was laying blame on the 510 adapter as it seemed to have a tough time making good contact on a 521 Tab. But then I realized that the legs required on the VapeShell are a lot longer than most atties. That's not necessarily a bad thing, it just is.

Using a ruler and mic as best I could to get a rough figure, they were easily twice the length Steam Engine defaults to. So when I changed the leg length value from 5 to 10 or more (can't remember exactly what I came up with) the build started agreeing with the prediction.

I've built mine numerous times now so I pretty much know what I need to get the proper resistance.

As for the performance, it is hands down the best rebuildable you can buy for a Billet Box. After some use, I still think the Exocet is just a very small touch better. But looking around the net, Exos are pretty much unobtainable as no one seems to be willing to let one go for almost any price. The VapeShell is a worthy successor in every way.

As for the two halves' mounting, when mine was brand new I would get a nice little click as they went together. For some reason that doesn't happen any longer but I've never had a problem with the parts coming apart.

During my first order, and I was e-mailing Atmizone. I mentioned to them what Mr. Hb said about about making a vape Shell for the Rev 3. They said the hard part is the location of the hole in the Boro tank, as it is not centered. They did sound like they were still interested in coming up with something. I also mentioned that there are several people on ECF that would be interested in it also. :)

Dang it! I was trying to resist getting one of these, but I guess when I get a spare 100 bucks, I'll have to go for it.
I see the clones, but don't think I'll waste my time on one. At least with an authentic, if I don't like it, I won't have a problem selling it.

I personally think if we make some more noise, their interest may get stronger!

Second build on vapeshell is much better for me. Took an extra wrap out and got 1.07Ω to accommodate the longer legs, which is closer to what I usually get with 8 wraps in my tanks (digiflavor siren 2, usually around 1.1 to 1.5Ω).

Better flavor and throat hit on first draw. I'm happy.

Late last night I realized, I had the plastic air flow thingy completely closed. After I opened it I realized I needed one of the smaller reducers, I haven't done it yet, maybe tomorrow. With it closed it is about right, I need to build a new coil and play with the wicking a bit anyway, had a few instances where it did not seem right. just seemed like it was about to be a dry hit.:|

Sounds like the learning curve is shorter than my...coil’s legs!

I’d recommend trying the smallest airflow insert, with the air control wide open.

Then you’ll know the limits of the options.

That’s what I did, of course they hadn’t released the MTL inserts yet.

I did build a new coil it the shell, the other day, I still did not get the OHM's right. (Not sure how I got the same OHM's) Anyway I put the largest of the mtl inserts, and now I think the air flow is right. No more Issues with it now either, The only thing I did differently, was after I wet the wick, I lifted it slightly. :)

You’ll settle in a little easier now, since you found the right airflow.

Don’t be afraid to keep building on it so you can nail down the right resistance!

So last night I made sure I filled the tank, and put a fresh battery in, so I would be good for work today. I actually completely drained the battery this afternoon, surprised me I had not done that before. I guess I was vaping off it all day. The flavor with this is the best I have ever gotten off any of my billet box's before. I am kind of thinking I need some more Rev4's just to be able to use more Vape shells in them. :)

If you are looking for Authentic Aspire Nautilus Mini BVC Clearomizer Replacement Coil Heads - 1.6 ohm,1.8 ohm(5 PCS), 3f vape has them for $8.99. FT has them a little cheaper, but you have to use bit coin, or a GC to buy them. Every where else I've looked, they run $11.99 to $12.99. I haven't checked ebay tho.

Looking for recommendations of good place(s) to get Nautilus coils from. I need both types...the screw in ones and the press together ones/bridges. Any assistance would be appreciated. Running lower than I’d like after a major stock up over a year ago!

I stocked up at this website a while ago.

Bought so many, that I got a personal email from the owner of the site, who wanted to make sure I wasn’t a bot...hahaha!

He was amazed that a single customer would order so many!

Nautilus BVC

Aspire BVC (press fit)
http://www.evape.us/aspire-bvc-rc/

I received authentic coils.
