Curious: what is the price differential on brass v aluminum billets? I'm kinda assuming that's where the big difference in price comes from...

There was a day when I thought I wanted all of the above.

But now, I want none of it. If you need a battery tester for the BB, watch for these to come back in stock:

I cringe when I see those DNA BB's posted. DNA boxes can be had anywhere, but there's only ONE Billet Box. And I don't want it messed with.

But if he did, of course I'd buy one.

If another run of the Brass were produced, I would hope for a new name for it. If I got one of those it would never be Flipped, as the saying goes, you would have to pry it out of my cold dead hands. I also would not want any changes to the internals, unless in had a Provari chip in it.

That would have to be something that Mr. Doug Dino would have to do I think, they are done in large batch's.

aluminum is quite a different animal when it comes to plating, as in it don't really work, at least not without first coating the aluminum in zinc, THEN it could be plated / chromed.... i never really considered plating, as the slides would 100% NOT hold up with wear.. but it is something to think about...

The only reason I brought up the Zenkote is because I have a full size & a mini Provari with the gold Zenkote, and it is a very tough finish but it is done on stainless. My mini is about nine months old and is still like new, I would bet that the aluminum would be too soft of a metal, but I don't know for sure.
