those are gorgeous!

dunno if you'd be interested or not, but i would have to pry mine out if I hadn't done tape. I wrap clear packing tape around the battery, leaving enough extra where the tape meets to make a tab. Grab the tab, pull out the battery. Under the tab, I put a piece of paper that says when I got them, which batt of which set they are.

@Mommay again with a tape tip.....Much long time ago, someone on here suggested putting a strip of packing tape on the door of the boro when you get it so that it hangs off the edge enough to make a folded over tab (so it's not sticky) so you can grab the tab to pull the door off rather than trying to get enough traction with your thumb. Make it slide off quite easily. I couldn't slide them without that. At least not at first, might could now, but I still keep the tape tab on there.

Happy Sunday everyone!

I tried some duct tape and it ripped when I tried taking them out so idk why im having such crappy luck with these.hate having 2yrs worth of batts I cant use.
addit:ill try some of the clear stuff,i just thought the duct tape would be much stronger...guess not...ha ha.

Seriously, Contact RTDVapor/Randy and let him know, he seems like a very good guy (Matter of fact, I still have contact him too about "My" batteries that I purchased last month, just haven't had the money yet to send them back) . . . I am sure he will take care of "You" if you explain what is happening with these batteries . . . As he mentioned to "Me" in our correspondences, that all I had to do was send them back and if he found they were out of spec he would replace them with new batteries and refund the shipping cost too . . . SO - Give him a chance to make it right . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

will do,just started using the red aw's and man they fall into place...what a difference.not sure how much vape time she will lose because of the mah (red aw550 to 750mah in the black) difference but as easy as they are to change it will be worth it to use them from here on out.only real bummer was that i asked that they be checked cuz they were going into a BBox.when i got them it said they were checked,so i guess we will see what happens.i wouldnt complain if i had something i could use them in....but only a bbox in this house...lol.... er2 bboxes.thanks uncle.-Rick,BTW sent RTD a msg so we will see...thanks again!

Bonus points... pretty sure they're 28 Guage coils.
kewl. I figgered for something that little you'd need at least 32 if not 34g. I usually build dual coils with 30 g, so am used to that, but have some 28 also.

lol wow.....I had no issues getting them out with the packing tape and it doesn't tear, but yours may be way tighter than mine. Either that or you got some crappy duct tape. Either way, glad you contacted RTD about it. I've never dealt with him, but know many that have and I've never heard anything but wonderful stuff about him. Real upstanding guy!! Let us know.

I figured same.

Wife has mystery atty built with 30 as we speak. That too was a pleasant surprise. She likes. Says not quite as airy as billet bridge but not irritatingly restricting like cartos.

Also says as much, if not more vapor than billet bridge... which she likes... and reports about the same flavor... which is great!

With a couple spare parts kits, an extra drip tip adapter and the 4 hole chimney, it rang in @ ~$200.00 though. Not exactly an economical purchase.

But worth it IMO.

Now I just have to source mesh that isn't from a vape shop.

But from what I can tell, the uno is much more capable and flexible. Wider range of options for builds, vapor and air.

People on the group reporting great flavor also and showing video clips and pics of huge vapor for a BB.

I'm stoked and waiting for vape mail. [emoji14]

If our wonderful government screws things up too bad I'll just rebuild the bvc coils and save myself 200 buckaroos.
I would too.

'Cept she don't have the patience and I don't have the time.

Besides, coil for coil, I'd be losing money building coils instead of working.

If'n I were retired already though... GAME ON!

Doesn't look any more difficult than building a RDA TBH.

Similar in construction to rebuilding factory heads like the old protank heads, but looks straight forward instead of having to manipulate around the silicone grommet and eliminating shorts, etc.

Just build a coil like for a regular deck, make sure the legs go where they need to, snip/snap where necessary and vape.

Probably best to join the Facebook group. There's some build pics there.

Thanks so much, beckdg. My build skills aren't the best, but they'll do in a pinch! I'll look into the FB group.

ive been doing them for a while now and the nautilus ones also.
I'm going to give it a go if I ever get finished working on my eye. Right now I have around 10 boxes of nautilus bvc and 30 boxes of the regular nautilus coils so no hurry.

One of my all time favorite movies ...sorry, I'm behind a few pages on this thread. It may take awhile to catch up
welcome!!!

ive been doing them for a while now and the nautilus ones also.
I watched a video once on either the coils we use in the bridge, or the nautilus ones, can't recall, no way could I do that, too fumbly fingered. I do ok on a 22mm atty but can't imagine doing those.

I caught up with this thread, once.

Once.

(That's a Danny Vermin/Johnny Dangerously joke, for anyone thinking I've finally lost ALL marbles)

What's going on with your eye, J5? ANY progress? I've seen no reports, and have been wondering.

And I have decided that my wonderful raw BB, that recently celebrated its 2nd birthday, can no longer sit around like a dayum Elf on a Shelf. So I'm dusting her off, filling her with a delrin tank (full of NLV Tappulles), and taking her out for a spin today. I think she might stay in use for a while too.

Besides, amazingly enough, I kind of miss the cleaning & maintenance process. The 99% alcohol, the olive oil, the Q-tips.... (I'm getting a little teary eyed just thinking about it nostalgically!). ;)

C'mon, baby. Let's go for a riiiiiiiiide. :vapor:
