It was really a luxury purchase for us. I haven't bought any mods or tanks for close to a year because we were throwin' every cent we could at the down payment for our house. (We've lived here for 5 years and when the owner gave us first refusal, we had to take the leap). So for that reason, AND because I just had my 3 year vapeversary last month, His Highness said we could make it work. (Watching my bottom lip quiver every time one disappeared from my cart, may or may not have helped too) ;)
Awesome sauce! Congrats on the house, the Flip version and on having a super duper hubby!

I needz to find a wife that will give me a similar hookup on a super snazzy BB...

It's a toughy.....I could swing it....and want it....but then my "rational brain" kicks back in and tells me to just be patient. I'm afraid even if I get a flip, they'll come out with even awesomer flip versions. Like the light blue with brass/silver...that would be sweet
I am sure you will be able to score reg rev 4.. Keep at it and follow all the tips and tricks needed to get one.

1. Fast internet
2. Account already set up with billing and shipping info added
3. Logged in before the sale starts
4. CC info already saved in Chrome
5. Practice the check out sequence

But the Flip versions are special! Not many will ever have one so there is that..

Maybe send DD / BB a message and ask about future Flip colors then decide?

Yeah - appreciate the advice. I'm well-versed in the f5/steps to get one game...I JUST missed out on this last batch. I do really like the suggestion of emailing them to see what they may/may not do with future flips/limited runs. My fav out of my collection is my RatBrass...wouldn't sell it in a bazillion years. So...if they do something simular to what they did before with the occasional special editions than maybe I will try and calm my "buy now" finger....but it's getting very hard to hold it back!

Awww, thanks Raq, I really wish I could help. I even thought of my sister-in-law, but last I heard she was looking for super duper hubby #5. I don't think she'd be right for you.

Well, finally had my surgery last week and I'm home. Sadly, turns out it's not one of those instantaneous 'you're healed, pains gone' variety so I'm still not getting up and around too much. But the worst is over.

When I got laid up last fall I cleaned and stored my BBs and switched to a simpler tank and bat that wouldn't be such a heartbreak as I watched it plunge to the floor from my clumsies. Today, however, I ordered a roo in anticipation of a return of the BBs. I'm nothing if not optimistic! Big thanks to the DD & gang for stocking the Ohmans. There's vapemail on the way from the UT.

I know I just have to stick it out and play the waiting game till it's my time to get a Rev4. I had to do the same when I got my Rev3's. One day the skies will open and the sun shine down upon me and I'll hold be holding my new Rev4.
@Doug Dino get some deserved rest and Thank you for everything your doing for us trying to keep them instock longer so we might have a chance.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what they will potentially do with "limited releases" or "special runs"? Now that the only distinguishing feature from the standard Rev4 and the Flipper is a different button...really. This is a HUGE difference from the Rev3 flipper!

So - special runs/limited runs = will they just be the Rev4 Flipper w/out the dolphin? Maybe I'm confused and not in the know.....and missing the point of the flipper, but if all they do is a limited run with a stainless button/brass button, that is nearly identical to the current flipper - unlike Rev3's.

Thoughts on what you'd like to/think you will see with limited runs?

My guess is that there will be no special runs but only DD knows what the master plan is..

I said it before but I *think* the point of the Flip versions is to hamper the low life flippers ability to sell the regular rev 4 at high prices..

If these low life flippers are selling a rev 4 for $1,500 then why would anyone buy from them when you can get a limited edition direct from BB for $1,000? If a flipper is selling a regular rev 4 for $1,000, again, why buy from them?

The Flip version also offers an easy way for some to get a rev 4. Maybe they don't want to F5 battle it out. Maybe they want the limited edition and are willing to pay extra for it.. To some people the base rev 4 price is out of reach but to others the rev 4 flip price is easily doable.. $1,000 to me is a lot of money but to someone else it may be pocket change..

Sure the regular rev 4 will still be flipped, just not at $1,000 or above anymore. I bet they still get offered up by low life's @ 2x or 3x RRP though.. If the low lifes are only making a few hundred bucks then maybe a few of them will decide it's not worth their time and effort for such a small profit..

All I really see the flipper version doing is lowering the amount of money a true flipper makes. Will it stop it, no because people will still pay 600 for a rev4 right now. Last time I checked doubling your money is 5 days is pretty darn good.

What this did is make MANY people think about paying 1000 for one today regardless of an engraving/button. As BB already said many flippers were bought and cancelled which shows how compulsive this hobby (or addiction) is. Only thing BB can do is limit it to one per week and double their output :)

I personally wanted it just for the button. Luckily common sense kicked in after I added it to the cart.

Dang the Kangaroo sold out quickly on the BB site.. Uno still available but Kangaroo = no can haz!

Brother Ohman makes some quality stuff......now I have to think about what I want my hybrid tip to look like.

I'm still thinking about the uno though...got some aspire bvc's and kanger occ's to practice building on and they weren't as bad as I thought they would be :)

I'm trying to go for the "blister pack life" but it's so hard to break old habits when I've been rebuilding all my coils the past few years :(

Hope you all have a happy Tuesday

Yas sir! Love my Ohman hybrid tip! I got the plain ole titanium one because it looks super duper snazzy on my silver / clear rev 4.

Yeah I hear ya on the blister pack life! I quit building a few years ago and have settled in nicely to the blister pack life..

Still it's nice to have an RBA so I snagged an Uno just for that purpose.. The way the FDA and / or California is going, who knows when the pre-made coils will become harder or even impossible to get..

It's a hit or miss for me pal when it comes to the premade coil heads. I had some good ones from the original Atlantis and the old 0.5ohm horizontal OCC coils were excellent that came with the subtank. Best premade coils were the uwell crown's, but I believe they were stainless steel and not nichrome or kanthal.

Sometimes I feel like building and with the coilmaster coil tool, it makes building a breeze. I don't know buddy, I'll probably grab that billetbridge racing instead so I can rebuild with the subtank rba deck :)

If you only wanted to buy it for the button you were quite possibly wise to wait. The description of the BlackFlip on the BB website said something like "a SS button that is not in production yet". That just might mean that it will be a regular option, at the regular price in the future?

I ordered the BlackFlip because I reallyreallyreally wanted a Rev.4 and felt better that at least the $'s were going to DD and not to a "flipper" (who I would never support). Although it's very nice, the SS button wouldn't be my first choice, but at the end of the day I'm just thrilled that I got a Rev.4 at all. :)

The good thing about using the Kanger RBA is that they are so cheap you can buy 3 or 4 of them, have them pre-built, cotton'd up and ready to roll..

So basically they can be treated as the pre-made. My issue with an RBA only like the Uno is that if you are at the beach (park or whatever) for the day and you pop a coil you better have rebuildable gear and supplies with you. With the pre-made coils (or pre-built RBA's in this case) you can simply remove the dead one, pop a new one in and vape away..

$7 here but I think they can be haz'd for less..
