I have one that was gifted to me. I've looked at it, then put it back in the cupboard.

From most everything I've read, people's experience have been LESS than stellar with it. Evidently, it's a long and epical lesson in frustration. I'm not sure spending an enormous amount of time attempting to build it and make it work would be worth it for me.

    Strike that. I AM sure.

Good luck to you, Kelt. I do hope you can make it work!

When they arrive, I will attempt, and report back. :)

Aaaand we have our answer. I forgot about Provari 2.5's not taking flat tops... (DP - you mentioned not being able to use them but I forgot.... Haha)

Anyway - the very second I threw on my charger, this was the result.

I was impressed that I basically saw no degradation of hit strength until it cut out (like a Provari in that regard to me). Also - interestingly - it would recover a tad from the sag and allow another hit or two before it cut out and again said weak battery.

Seriously - even when i tossed a fresh battery in, the hit strength seemed the same as it just had.

All in all very impressed! Very. :)

Now THAT makes sense (numbers-wise). Thanks, Stanley!

And how's THIS for a kicker? I went for a couple of Kirinites today. After ALL that...:lol:

    Thanks for that too.

You'll love the Kirinite! I was holding out for an Undertow that never showed up. Haha. Just the "Overtow" which is a lighter shade of blue. I personally want the darker shade of Undertow.

But seriously - you're gonna love the Kirinite.

That's the one that I got (it's actually my favorite). I guess I'll have to learn how to buff the snit out, eh?

    I'll be FINE. :vapor:

I'm plowing through the TMC thread right now, I figure it will help me perfect the small coils. Currently reeling from the amazing amount of talent and thought evident over there!
Tensioned Micro Coils. The next step.
that was started quite awhile ago, and super x only uses the coil master v 3 for his coils now. It has rods down to either 1.5mm or 1mm I forget. No need for the tension etc, but you still might get some good info

So, what you're telling me is that after a day of reading, and managing to get halfway through the thread... It ends with a return to non-tensioned coils?

So how quickly do these fine folks in UT get these orders out? Very much looking forward to getting my new precious.

In a normal weekend you'll see shipping notices out by Monday, SOMETIMES Tuesday (at the very latest, and that's rare). It looked like yesterday was a pretty big sale, if the number of color options and plates are any indication, so I expect they're trudging their way through everything now.

The products usually land in hand the following Friday (sometimes Saturday).

Now all you need is a nice Ohman tip, and you're good to go!

This one is a bit more Packers than Celtics, but Bret could surely make an adjustment or two, that even Johnny Most himself would approve of. Maybe a little #17 tacked on or something. :D
