Nope! Here's a pic. Second time I've dropped the BB and after later inspection noticed the nipple is crushed. These are flat tops though so it's not as dramatic as it sounds. I figured it was just because the battery sits so tight in the BB against that pin, and the nipple obviously isn't too sturdy.

I accidentally dropped my Billet Box on a concrete sidewalk and the same exact thing happened to the LG HG2 cell that was in it.

Guess this really is Real Life Testimony to the validity that a BB can really take a beating, even better than a battery within . . . :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

It can certainly take a beating. Other than a couple of comparatively minor dings, it's functioning perfectly.

I am horrified

Not about the battery, but that you both talk so casually about dropping your Billet Boxes. I would have signed them up to stunt school.

This happened back in June. Initially, I was heartbroken, but I got used to it. It actually doesn't bother me that much.

I was just wondering if anyone knows, if BBV has implemented the age verification that they were talking about a few weeks ago, and if so what did you have to submit to get verified. :?:

KAS
I didn't have to do any of that this past Saturday FWIW.

That is good to know, I am not sure yet but I might just order 4 Rev 3A's this Friday, it is going to be at least 3 of them if the ones I want are still in stock. :D

Don't you wish they'd update the Rev3 page to show what's still available?

If you click on each selection, it will tell you if it is still in stock, I figured that out a few weeks ago. The only ones that are out of stock at the moment is the clear ano's. :)

Anyone had their battery nipple crushed inwards slightly after knocking the billet box accidentally? Is that a case of chucking it or what?

Yeppers, it's a case of chucking it. Why would you not.

I have only EVER dropped my Billet Box once, the v.1.0, and I was absolutely mortified!

I was lucky that there was no damage (it fell onto a tiled floor), but now remove it from my pocket when I go to the loo!

OMG! Feel for you! I once dropped mine from the desk onto the desk! A 3 inch fall! Thought I was gonna cry big tears!!!

Ehhh... I purchased my BB's on based on three criteria: MITUSA , convenience of carry, and durability. One of the 3A's might be a clone (BBV is kindly attempting to authenticate via photographs as I write), but it's the one I have been carrying daily. It's been dropped twice (from a breast pocket as I bent over) to a diamondplate floor. Zero internal damage and very minor scuffing of the corners. I'll buff them smooth and carry on. No other mod I own would stand up to that.
I treat very few things as prima donnas. When I smoked, the LE titanium zippo went in my pocket and was used and abused daily until it was gifted to a serviceman being deployed.
There's a bicycle community that uses the term "Beausage" for signs of loving use. I like the thought that sometime in the future, someone will see the mod and wonder what things happened to it over the life of its ownership.
    Just my 2c, I'm not bashing :)

You all inspired me with the dark and mysterious covers so I changed one of my rat blacks to a resin cover. It changes from a grey to black to deep eggplant colour depending on the light.
