I see your point but from my view, it's another item and I already haz soooooooooo much stuff... I was thinking about thinning out my stash even more after looking at the mass last night... Adding a tank that only fits one atty is something I'd not want to do at this point..

I am sure there will be a market for the new / improved atty, just not from me unless it can somehow fit into the standard boro..

Ah but it fits all the Atlantis coils as well.

I'm still torn on how I feel about the whole thing, but I'm hoping the maker can use the feedback I've gathered here from you fine folks!

One more question, then I'll stop.

Are the colors close to what I see on the web page. I looked at it, on 3 different monitors, and I liked it.

These on a green (TMNBB) ?

GetImage.ashx

Color seems pretty accurate, but they appear to have more depth and texture and look better in person.

Has the modder figured out the price point he is looking to get for the atty for as it sits right now? That will obviously decide the "total cost of ownership" as the cost of an A Tank has to be added if he stays on the current design.

So I would look at the following things:
  • how does it perform against current attys at the price point he wants
  • how does it differentiate itself from what is already on the market
    • price
    • performance
    • availability
    • innovation
    • value - ie. materials used (303/304/316 SS)
  • what will the customer service model look like?
  • last and most important, the product must answer WHY choose to spend money on this atty versus what is already out there

Yeah I'd never use the Atlantis coils.. I am an old skewl vaper and anything under 1.2 ohm is a no go for me.. I am what they call a Tootle Puffer... Are YOU a Tootle Puffer??

All good points.

The vendor is an established vendor, whom I'm sure many people here know.

I just don't want to burst their bubble before they've created a purpose built version.

My little modified version may be a cave painting compared to what they end up releasing!

Ya know, I'm technically a Tootle Puffer also...

My favorite sweet spot ever was a 1.2ohm coil at 10 watts, in a Kayfun Lite on a Provari/Radius.

Granted I've moved past that, but my current sweet spot was forged from that history.

So, anyone have good leads on billet box panels? I was following a thread on another forum who mentioned a chap on fb. Didn't do facebook but joined just to send a message. Well, after reading other posts it is unlikely they will come through, and from what i read they weren't as well done as the original panels with how they are curved and fit.

Any other options or places besides vapin art and i think the other site is odis or vapes by nushi something or other?

Know i don't need them, and for the prices on some I would prolly pass, could almost get another bb for some prices. I have really liked the ones with the stab wood and then the rest is clear resin.

So, sitting and having a beer. Looking at all the sites that come up. There was a set of g10 panels on vapin art, found the modder and he has his own site selling the g10 type on his own website. they look like perfect fits for the bb. Gonna have to order a set. If anyone is interested it is mumsff dot com

Since i had created the fb page for messaging the other fellow, i messaged him and he has another group on fb where he does other types of panels. Seems nice, extremely quick to respnd to questions.

I've heard good things about mums. On fb, there's a group called Billet Box Forum. Sometimes that's a good place to see how other people are dressing up their BBs and get a feel for what's out there.

THe SXK clone of the exocet, i think it is 3 mm diameter, but would need to check

The authentic Exocet airflow opening is 3.5mm. You sure the SXK clone is 3mm even? If so, you can buy 3 meters of 3mm to 2mm reducer Teflon tubing on Amazon for like $6 bucks. I've used this in the Heron and Spheriod without issue. Just make sure the coil is not too close to it so it doesn't melt.

I joined that FB forum this morning, and it is interesting.

I am about to receive my first BB, a Rev 4, DNA 40 RPG. A trusted friend on another forum offered this to me at a price I couldn't refuse to get me started. It will come with 2 sets of panels. This is apparently the big screen that didn't have the screen glitch.
I have the OCC bridge coming from BB,I will be getting a bridge for the Nauti coils when they become available, and a rebuildable bridge. I like to have options for all my mods.

I'm very much looking forward to the world of BB. Below are pics of the BB I will be getting. Someone was definitely smiling down on me this weekend, a couple of times. I will still be in on getting a new BB in a few weeks, but for now, I can quit chomping at the bit so much. :)
