Well I got the drop kit, or nano kit, installed on the Billow last night. Man what a difference in flavor and temperature. It's a whole new tank now. I can't say better or worse yet, but very different. Flavor seems to be amped up some for sure, vapor production seems about the same so far. I will say it seems to wick better, though that could just be my imagination. Call me crazy, but I also like not getting committed to such a large quantity of juice with each fill up.
I was initially against the nano kit because of the lower capacity, but you are right, I would like to not have to commit to 5 mL. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the wicking could possibly be better with the nano kid because of the volume that you're pulling a vacuum on when drawing.

I am rocking a Billow V2 Nano.

Much more airflow than I was used to. I think it has more airflow than the GMini

Mine came with the scent of machine oil so a quick rinse.

I made an 8 wrap coil around the shaft of the little blue screw driver. I was expecting .8 ohm coil but no it came in at .93

Did not care for the wide bore drip tip. Tho so I put on one of my ultra short drip tip and I was happier.

The flavor is about the same as my Kayfun Nano and MUCH MORE VAPOR.

I can see they borrowed the design of the single piece chimney of the Kayfun v4 but oh my goodness it is soooooo much easier to fill i did not like the complications of thr kayfun V4 so i put it up for sale. Did not like the opening and closing of the juice wells or the tiny holes to fill the Kayfun v4.

It may be my imagination but I think the Nano holds more than 3 ml. I never used a syringe but going by the 10 ml bottle of juice I would guess 3.5-3.8 ml. I saturated the wick and packed bits of wick in the unused juice wells trying to rock a single coil. No flooding or gurgling yet. I have it in a shot glass to see it it leaks out the airflow

I think this is exactly why it wicks better. I haven't had a bit of a leak or dry hit since I converted my billow to a Billow nano. Best 8 bucks I've spent on vaping in a while!

Was having trouble with One Hit Wonder juice so read every thread about wicking billow v2. Here is what is working for me right now with Rocket Man will build my other billow v2 for Milk Man tonight and confirm it. Maybe even with one less wrap and try and post some pictures if it goes well.

26 gauge kanthal
2.5mm 6 wrap clocking in at about 0.46 ohms give or take

Cut about a 3 mm strip of ko gen do and left the "skins" on there.

Rolled the whole thing a little bit and fed it through

Cut the cotton at the edge of the deck basically put the scissors flat on the outside post and cut both strips of cotton at once

Lubed up the tails and tucked them to the large cups only not into the small cups at all

Screwed on the deck cap and then took my tweezers and made sure there was no cotton near the smaller juice grooves at all. Gonna use a piece of kanthal next time as I think tweezers may have smushed the cotton to much

My result was a bit tighter draw than I had with 50/50 juice but I was vaping away at 35 watts getting a nice cooler vape and can slide the air closed a little and get a perfect warmer vape. Blows a very dense cloud with only a short draw. The jury is still out on the flavor think the juice needs to steep some more and I may need to go one less wrap and get it a little more into the dripper range.

I just got my first Billow V2 in the Nano version. I guess many of us are constantly looking for that one RTA... and I might have found it for now. Despite the looks this tank is really great. Easy to build on, easy to wick, wicks very well even with high vg juice, flavour is very very decent, air flow control is a treat, rewicking without draining the tank is a gift and filling is easy. No leaking, no dry hits... that's how a tanks should be.

Now I have to find the perfect drip tip with the same inner diameter as the chimney.. teflon preferred. Any suggestions?

At high temps Teflon outgasses and very dangerous for the lungs.

I would recommend pyrex, annodized aluminum, glass, Delrin, or Stainless steel..

I am using a Leroux V2 by modish metal works in black delrin diameter seems almost exact.

pricey though at $25.00 probably can find it cheaper

Friction drip tips are the closest you will come to chimney diameter. They don't have the additional diameter needed for o-rings. I actually prefer a smaller vote for flavor. The small bore tips condense the vapor and intensify the flavor IMO. Look up delrin friction drip tips.

At high temps! Could you be a bit more specific? Numbers are highly appreciated! Thanks mate.

Exactly 599 degrees Fahrenheit.

A 599 degree pan with a Teflon coating will kill a parrot in 5-10 minutes. A human with larger lungs will take considerably longer but the risk is there; and not a good career move. Of course asthmatics and people with emphysema will have more issues.

Now having the Teflon in your mouth what is the saliva and digestive enzymes in the mouth doing to the Teflon?

In the immortal words of Daffy Duck "Not this little black duck!"

Thanks but the info I read it said 599F but that was years ago when I had pet birds and that was back in 1997 in Bird Talk magazine.

I really appreciate the info. I have to do some research to be sure.

Teflon offgas studies

Article with references to peer reviewed studies. PTFE experiences thermal degradation at 396^f and forms the following...

FE (tetrafluoroethylene), HFP (hexafluoropropene), OFCB (octafluorocyclobutane), PFIB (perfluoroisobutane), carbonyl fluoride, CF4 (carbon tetrafluoride)

PTFE drip tips won't get that hot though so I wouldn't worry too much about that. PEEK drip tips would be better. PEEK is used in some medical implants and has a higher thermal stability.

Delrin produces formaldehyde at temps above 440^f IIRC. But once again, not going to get that hot. Your coils might, but that heat is quickly dispersed.

I have several Billow V2s (8 to be exact). I use them with all my favorite DIY juices and find them to be my go to tanks for flavor. I also have Aromamizers RTDAs which just don't seem to have as good a flavor (muted). Just picked up a couple of OBS Crius and have the same problem flavor seems muted (love this tank, easy build, easy wick, great output, easy fill but flavor not quite there). Does anyone else agree that Billow V2 is the best tank for flavor?

I am now thinking about getting some Billow V2 Nano setups, will my flavors improve or am I just chasing flavor dreams?

As a nano convert, I can tell you I have not reinstalled the full size tank since I got the nano kit. flavor is through the roof. You should just get 4 nano kits and convert half your Billow stable to nanos. The kits are only 8 buck each from eciggity.

If you are a flavor chaser you should check out the Goblin Mini.

Both my GMini band Kayfun Nano has better flavor than my Billow V2 Nano.
