Does anyone know where to get wire for rewiring mods? MV doesn't seem to have any and Idk where to get it. I tried Ebay but I dont think I know what keywords to put in because all I found were short wires with ports on each end or USB wires and i really don't know which wires used for other things would be comparable for use in a mod battery to 510 connection? Is it basically any copper wire? Is a USB wire just copper and all the tech. that tells the wire what to do is in the chip ports at the ends? I don't get it. :p

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and find a sales associate in the electrical section. Tell him you need 22/4 security cable. They sell it by the foot. 22/4 means that there are 4 strands of 22g wire inside of the outer jacket. Strip the outer jacket away and you usually get Red, Black, White, and Green wires inside. The advantage of stripping a multi-conductor cable is that the insulator on the individual wires is usually thinner and makes it much easier to work with.

I put 20g in my bolt and it was a tight fit. 16g, if even possible, would be quite a feat for the tight space.

Yeah, that's the perfect solution to a beat up gun metal. I sanded down a Silver Bullet like that once and it looked pretty snazzy. I didn't get that "seamless" look that you got, though.

There is no way i could have done it by hand... it took almost an hour and a hald doing it "lathe style" with my drill

This is how i rocked it most of the time... looked great for about 3 weeks and then the vinyl would get all scratched and scuffed and i would have to rewrap it

Got tired of wrapping it, so just ran the stock black chrome/gunmetal for the last 3 months and finally decided it needed a make over

Maybe next month i will powder coat and install a new button and 510 connector, i have used it as my every day mod since June, and being in the army... it has seen some serious misuse.
Resoldered the internals twice and the button is gettin a little crunchy, so then next time it acts up it will be surgery again and this time it wont just be cosmetic

wow so that bolt has been to the middle east? i salute it! and you. lol.
if any of your friends in the military have seen you vaping and want to try it..
there is a charity called Project Vape A Soldier. Its pretty cool.
heres a link: Project Vape a Soldier

I love the brushed Bolt. I love Bolts so much. I'm saving for a 2nd one now. :p
I want another telescoping mod so I may end up getting that 1st. But another Bolt is in my future.
And then its truly time to start saving for nic incase the FDA end up taking away bottled nic juice.
if you haven't already submitted your letter to the FDA i emplore you to do so.
A link to the thread with a link to the submission form is above this thread under "Americans!"
If you live in EU, your also under attack so please look above as well.

That brushed bolt is SLICK. I wish I had a tool that could do that.

All it takes is a 3/8" drill, an old carto and some sandpaper
I used 120, then ,320, and finished with 600
As long as you are comfortable with button removal and installation, its super easy, just time consuming

I'm seeking an increase in battery life when running VW with the Kick (in the Boss). The Boss accepts the kick with an 18500. I want to lengthen the tube to accept an 18650 being kicked. If the Bolt's extension doesn't mate with the Boss, I'll have a machinist turn a few (with brass) extra to distribute.
The metric threading of the Boss is a slight smaller than the Bolt. Cost of tap/die would exceed the budget. The Bolt extension has enough bite to stay secure. The male portion of the extension will require filing down and or rethreading to hold secure.
