and fourthrok, how long have you had it, and has it lost any of its chrome?

I got my chrome Bolt from HECS in November...and use it every day. No signs of wear on the chrome...it's still shiny and good. The button, however, I will admit is NOT particularly "clicky". It works fine, but there is no real click, like with the Squire (18350 Indulgence type tube mod). You can feel when it connects...so it's okay.

got the bolt today and man im in heaven vaping at 7.4v stacked 18350 with 5 ohms is a perfect match! needless to say vivi nova melted my springs oh well good thing the vendor here replaced it! gotta pick up 18650 today to vape 3.7 with lr's!

Okay! I love my Bolt, and talking about the Bolt, and I certainly don't mean to hijack this thread, but...

What is the issue with the Vivi Nova melting a spring down? It also seems that "thebong24" isn't surprised about it all that much either. GrimmGreen discusses this happening to him twice using a Vivi Nova on his Silver Bullet!

I don't currently have a Vivi Nova, but I do have a shopping cart containing two that I'm reluctant to pull the trigger on. Is this commonplace with that device or what? I really don't want to have any battery meltdowns when using one on my Bolt, or my Vamo, or my Zmax...well, you get the idea.

Well he stacked 2 18350's to give him 7.4v he put too much power in his bolt! A Vivi Nova with the 1.8 ohm head and with one 3.7v battery(18500 or a 18650 with the extension ring) works like a dream!

I have used a Bolt, Zmax! Silverbullet and many others to run Vivi Novas without issues. I don't stack for high voltage though, never felt the need to do that.

i stacked 18350's on a 5ohm not the vivi nova (i know better than that) but for some reason 1 18650 3.7 v 2.4ohms on the vivi nova melted the spring... i am not surprise how vivi nova got the spring melted since i know vivi nova had issues with SB...but i guess in that situation i wont wanna try the vivi nova again on the bolt lol... and duane i may think its the bolt and vivi nova issues well i only tried the vivi nova and i know the risk prolly its just me... but every device is different so hope yours will handle the vivi nova... like other said 1.8 ohms and a 3.7 vivi to bolt works great for them... but my 2.4 didnt work well...

I have quite a few Vivi Novas and have gone through countless heads.........and have never had any melting issues, or even heat issues or anything. But I've also never run stacked 18350's in my Bolt, either. A single 18650 is all I've ever used in mine, and I predominantly use Vivi Novas on top of it. Order with confidence. I have to come to the conclusion that it is an issue due to stacking 18350's. If you plan on using a single 18650, you won't have any problems.

vivis have been my top type of head for the past month or so. I havent had any problems using them on any of my mechanical mods including my bolt although the majority of their use is on a vv mod with safety cutoffs. they seem to be pretty darn safe heads considering they are wrapped in the factory. If you are rebuilding the heads then I recommend you take your time to be sure its done correctly if you plan to then use them on mechanical mods with no safety features.

Just for the record I didnt stack the 18350 on the vivi nova...I used 1 18650...

Does anyone know where to get wire for rewiring mods? MV doesn't seem to have any and Idk where to get it. I tried Ebay but I dont think I know what keywords to put in because all I found were short wires with ports on each end or USB wires and i really don't know which wires used for other things would be comparable for use in a mod battery to 510 connection? Is it basically any copper wire? Is a USB wire just copper and all the tech. that tells the wire what to do is in the chip ports at the ends? I don't get it. :p

The Boss Bolt?
Ok folks, by going on a whim of chance. Assuming "The Bolt - Extender" has the same threading compatiable with "The boss", I'll be running a 18650 "Kicked". If not then off to the machinist.

The Boss looks a bit wider than the Bolt to me. The site says it's 1 1/2" wide, but it doesn't look that wide. I haven't seen much info on The Boss or any review videos on it except for the one from JunkyRock. I'd like to see a visual comparison between the two. And also with the Silver Bullet.

I'm seeking an increase in battery life when running VW with the Kick (in the Boss). The Boss accepts the kick with an 18500. I want to lengthen the tube to accept an 18650 being kicked. If the Bolt's extension doesn't mate with the Boss, I'll have a machinist turn a few (with brass) extra to distribute.
