FYI all the "Buzz " uses 3.7 VOLT batteries !!!!!

using 3 volt batteries will not work ( at least not very long ) the LOW Voltage cutoff is based on 3.7 volt batteries ( it cut off @ 6 volts ) so when the batteries go under 6.0 volts it wil lshut the unit down.

This is a safety feature that will not let you over discharge the batteries , this will prolong the life of the batteries and keep them in a safe zone as far as discharge is concerned.

I'm using the AW IMR 3.7 volt batteries, is high drain ok for the buzz?

Yes as long as they are 3.7 volts ( like yours ! )

It is the Voltage that matters , the capacity ( mah ) will control how long a charge lasts.

I was just wondering if high drain batteries made any difference on the Buzz since everyone has raved about them. Since the Buzz is adjustable wouldn't matter if high drain or not.

What voltage were you using when you used the AW Li-Ion? I have mine set at 4.5 volts and I'm only getting about 5 hours out the AW batteries.

I've been all around between 4.2 and 4.6, mostly using a 302 atty. It's not the only device I use, but it is the one I've been using the most. I've been going back and forth between a pair of AW Li-Ions and a pair of AW LiMNs, but averaging 7-10 hours on either pair. There is not a whole lot of difference between the two batteries, at least not for me. The UltraFires are the ones that seem to do the absolute best. Unfortunately I only have 2 UltraFires at the moment and they are reserved for my other PV. I have more on order and once they get here, they will be all I use in the Buzz also.

If you are using an atty with lower resistance than I'm using, take longer hits and vape more often, then your batteries will go faster than mine. Everybody's milage will vary. Heck, mine varies daily. Same batteries, one day I get 7 hours and the next I might get 11. I gave up trying to keep track after the first couple days I also think I used the Buzz more heavily the first couple days because I was playing with it so much. Now that I've settled into just using it normally my battery times are getting longer.

I've had mine one week today (Saturday) and I like it more each day. I haven't found anything wrong with it to even complain about, but that's a good thing Ok I do have one complaint... hubby keeps trying to take it LOL

I'm looking forward to hearing more on what you think about it.

I have had batteries "break in " but not all the time so ??
16340 or ICR123a 3.7 volt batteries will work.

Yup the atty will do that. I have not noticed any break in period on any of my batteries, but then again I wasn't looking for it when they were new.

I did some reading on the Candlepower forums and lot of the people said the black and red Trustfire are the best as far as capacity goes. So I figure I'll try some out and see what kind of results I get. 5 hours from the AW isn't to bad but at that rate I figure I need another set batteries to keep me going.

I rotate 2 sets and have a car charger for when I am out as well .

Which batteries do I have coming to me from Notcigs? I ordered two sets with my Buzz, but I'm not sure which brand they are or how they've proven to compare with the options listed in this thread. Anyone know?

They are Ultrafire ICR123A 3.7 Volt 880 mah , they are exactly the same as a 16340 battery.
Please do a comparison , I would like to know the difference.

Ultrafire told me that they changed the model # because of to many copies of their 16430 battery on the market !

...but no one has been using these yet with the Buzz unit?

I'm kind of relying on these, as I only have 3.0 volt Tenergy RCR123A's here for my other mods - about 16 of them at that.

WitchWay has used the Ultrafire batteries and said they lasted longer than the AW Li-Ion and high drain. She said she got 9 hours out of them.

Heck I've gotten as much as 11 hours on the UltraFires. They are my favorites!!! Unfortunately I only have two of them at the moment and I prefer to use them in my Chameleon so for now I'm using the AWs I have in the Buzz. I did order 10 more UltraFires from China but who knows when they will get here. Once they do that will be all I use. I was very happy to see that was the kind Buzz was going to carry. I'll buy from him in the future.

I have an inverter I keep in my truck but have yet to use it to charge batteries. I think having a good inverter is much nicer than car chargers as I can use the inverter to run my laptop, a portable DVD player and to charge cell phones and my PV batteries.
