You know the crazy part is I put on the 0.8 ohm atty and it reads 2.86 volts under load=10.22 watts
The 3.0 atty under load reads 4.3 volts=6.16 watts............ The Crown is set at 10 watts so what gives? Nothing wrong with the atty as it fires strong on my Provari @ 5.5 volts=10.08 watts.............
I'll check mine out tomorrow or Monday. Let you know. I haven't used mine with a high resistance atomizer yet.

Please do Snork so I can tell if thats what all Crowns do or if mine is defective...
3 taps + hold...10 beeps....Crown is set @ 10 watts
Here are my results with different atomizers:

0.8 ohm coil inline voltage reads 2.86 = 10.22 watts

1.5 ohm coil inline voltage reads 3.91 = 10.19 watts

3.0 ohm coil inline voltage reads 4.38 = 6.39 watts......... I tried two different brand new 3.0 ohm HH357 attys... same results... Even before I tested the voltage output I could tell something was wrong as the vapor was weak!

These are the first 3.0 ohms I have run on my Crowned ELA... The preveious 3.0 ohm coil was a month old and resistance had dropped to 2.3 ohms..

The strange thing is if you put the Crown in Variable Voltage mode set @ 5.5 volts and fire a 3.0 atty it delivers 5.4 volts under load which gives you a 9.72 watt vape...So it does work with the high resistance 3.0 ohm coils in VV mode....

If I can confirm with both of my crowns it could be a bug in the algorithm and they'd probably like to know about it. Stay tuned, might be tomorrow.

Thank you Snork.................:)

Edit: One more thing to take note of....
When using a Kick with an inilne voltage tester it will not give you a reading unless an atty is attatched/under load... I could of sworn that I treid it with my Crown/no load when I first got it and I got no reading on the voltage meter.... I do now get a reading with no atty attatched.... Set @ 10 watts it reads 3.61 volts/no load.. The 3.61 reading is with a battery off the charger 4.2 volts and a battery thats been drained down to 3.7 volts...These readings where taken with a AW IMR 18490 and a AW 18650 IMR, same exact resluts....

I think that is the consensus. I've broken down to buying it but am having trouble finding it, so I'm just waiting for David to get his shipment in.

If everything goes well, I may be able to receive the ELA, Ithaka, and Crown simultaneously! A man can hope...
So, the consensus is that the Crown is a good combo with ELA? Im hoping so, I really miss using a something that keeps my wattage at 8 so I can have my voltage at about 4.25.

I was having problems with my Kicks in the ELA. Many here have made me break down a give the Crown a try.

Sorry, I'm going to have to back out. I can't seem to get my crap together enough to do any testing and document it. I mean, if you only knew the state of affairs here mechanically. Every once in awhile I have to take an entire day and get my vape crap organized so I know what's where, right now I'm in that interim twighlight zone where I vape whatever happens to be within ten feet and isn't buried under junk mail.
Keep on keeping on and keep us posted.

Latest word was that they should ship this week. I'll keep you posted!

David Im going to buy another Crown when you get them back in stock.. But what do you think about the problem Im having with the one I have? Does not produce enough voltage in VW mode(set at 10 watts) to produce 10 watts with a 3.0 HH atty.... All my resluts are above... In VV mode it does work correctly.......... How do I get the warrenty.... I did sent an e-mail to brian@artisanvaping.com but have yet to recive a response............
I also sent one into Supertmanufacturing@yahoo.com
..............
Keep on keeping on and keep us posted.
Will do....

So no one has tested their Crown with a 3.0 ohm atty..... I need to know if mine is defective or if its a glitch in the product... Still no response from Artisan vaping.... I sent them an e-mail last Friday..... Im begining to wonder if the Crown is a Kick Killer or if the Crown will just Kill itself due to lack of productin and customer support!?

I have been trying to contact Artisan with no response. So far the Evolv wins for great customer service and replacement units with no hassle. I really want a Crown for my ELA. But they are sold out in the US. I found some at a german site but it comes out to about 80.00 with shipping and the euro costs.

The other place where its available is a Filipino site, again shipping from there is ridiculous, shipping is more than the Crown sells for here at Super-T.

Just retested my Crown...Set at 10 watts(10 beeps) 3.0 ohm HH(verified ohms on Provari) delivers 4.38 volts under load = 6.39 watts weak vape.... Same 3.0 ohm atty on Provari set at 5.5 volts - 10.08 watts = great vape.... So the Crown is the issue..

+1 for Evolv..... Artisan vaping has no customer service if you cant reach them! Lets see what happens when I sent it back to them....
