Costs too much? Really? Think of what has been put into the Darwin in R&D, marketing, customer service, material acquisition and actual manufacturing. Now think..How many Darwins have actually been sold? Taking a wild guess, let's say 700 and I think that might be high. So at that rate, 150K in gross revenue has been generated thus far. That is not alot of money if you think about everywhere it has to go. Granted, as the device matures and hopefully as the
vaping industry matures, the long-term picture is probably pretty good. But anyone that thinks Evolv is getting rich and the Darwin is overpriced is just not looking at the big picture.
Not to change the subject...well actually totally changing the subject.....
My one dilemma with my Darwin is the MAP
tank. I still love the MAP, but it forces the Darwin to stay open straight as a board, making it one very long mod, as we all know. This doesn't work well trying to stuff it in my suit jacket pocket. So I usually use a carto at work. Well I asked TTT if they could shorten their gooseneck for me, as much as possible, to close the arm with a MAP. The gooseneck 510 connectors are pretty long themselves, so it is limited in how short the unit can actually be. But it came out pretty good I think. 1" of actually flex cable. Here's a couple pics.
Observe that the arm is slightly open and power is on and I can actually vape the Darwin backwards!
