Classified thread closed... Just pulled the trigger at Nhaler ;)

Be interesting to see what extra goodies Drew sends with it......keep us posted Chief....and welcome to Darwinia.....a place where the term "wattage" is used more than "voltage"....and where my multi meter just collects dust....

Wonder where Vapian's hiding.......maybe he's working on the Darwin song/video......

Not really hiding - was supposed to be out of town this weekend anyway but tweaked my back last week so haven't been doing much the past few days. Also kind of laying low while twisting in the wind a bit on another situation that I probably shouldn't get into details on yet, but I hope to be able to tell that tale soon (it has nothing to do with the Darwin or nHaler, though).

In any case, it'll be another week or so before I will have firm enough opinions to comment on several specifics (it's the product verification engineer in me). What I can say as an overall impression is that I am absolutely pleased with my purchase. I wanted a more advanced PV for a couple of reasons and despite still forming opinions on some things there is no doubt that this is going to meet all of my performance expectations. I will probably be doing a more detailed write up and/or video review after I've lived with it for a while. Unfortunately there are several video projects in the queue and my muse hasn't visited yet, so if there is a Darwin song it's out on the horizon somewhere. :)

Unlike most folks, though, I seem to be able to put mine down from time to time. Please don't think less of me. :) It is mostly because it doesn't quite dangle from the mouth like a 65mm batt & carto when I need both hands free. Now if I could only trigger the Darwin's push button with my tongue while managing to dangle it from my teeth ... but then, I'd probably be busy making videos of a different kind. ;)

Hope your back feels better soon!! I would click the like button for your post if I wasn't on my phone! Very funny:)

I would try them if a high voltage version came out but 1.5 ohm isn't gonna cut it for me :(

on a dual coil atty, there are two coils in parallel. 1.5 ohms of total resistance would mean two 3 ohm coils. for a high res dual coil, youd need two 6 ohm coils to get 3 ohms.

i use an emdcc on my darwin quite often and it works really well. at 12 watts it draws 2.7 amps at 4.7 volts. 8.5 watts draws 2.3 amps at 3.8 volts. my provari can only handle up to 3.7 volts before the amperage limiting kicks in. they make TONS of vapor and hold a crapload of juice.

I'd be happy with 2 or 2.5 ohm. I am just going by my experience with dual coil cartos because I don't like the 1.5 ohm ones at all compared to the 2.5 and even the 2 ohm colossals that I am trying at the moment.
