Hey Neb, Do you think people are really sending in their Darwins for repair just to get upgrades? There was a little bit of joking about it here on the forums, but I don't think anyone would actually do it. Who wants to be without their Darwin for a week?
In a word = "yes"

KJ, I also had a VERY tight draw on the MA306 and had attempted the adjustment several times, with no luck. As soon as I read your post, welp, I did it, and it helped tremendously, so thank you! I agree that the MA306 is a bit tough being LR, but the DCA is fantastic. I'm like Ski... an overzealous dripper. Never a prob with the DCA.

Ski, she just might be a he... just sayin'.

Break out the tarp boys ------Yes she just typed that!!!!!!

Thanks guys for all the tips. I'll hunt down a mini usb cable and try that. I'll let you know how it goes. I really enjoyed it for the first few hours ;)

Thank you so much for the help. It looks like it was just the cable after all. I've had it charging on the new cable for about an hour and a half and I can tell a major difference. You guys are the best!!! :)

Glad I could be of help, Kat :) It actually took me a little while before I got the hang of that adjustment, I was so paranoid about over-tightening that I thought I had it adjusted as far as it would go long before I actually did. I still find the ma306 to be a stiffer draw than my other attys, but it's livable and I'll keep using it till it goes kaput, but I won't be getting another one of those attys

And I love my Darwin just the way it is. If some day down the road I need to send it in (legitimately) and upgrades are offered, then I would take full advantage, but as it stand right now there is no need and I would never take advantage of somebody's generosity like that. I understand your frustrations, Neb, it's just not right if anybody is actually doing so

Happy to hear/read this. However, were I you - I'd still chase down the previous owner and confirm legitimacy of the sold device. Evolv has amazing customer service but you can't really blame them for confirming legitimacy given what is taking place.

Darwinians are also an amazing bunch. If you have questions, this is a great thread. Be sure to have a read thru this one as well (great Darwin info): http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ything-you-ever-wanted-know-about-darwin.html

Yeah, I sent him a PM after emailing Evolv to transfer the warranty. Hopefully I will hear back soon. He seemed like a good guy and he only bought it around a month ago so he should still have the invoice email.

There are always people who will try to get over and steal. I heard someone talking about that before. Nhaler sent replacements out so people wouldn't go without and people stole them. Just disgraceful. I couldn't live w/ myself if that's how I lived my life.

I couldn't live with myself either but people will always find a way :( Unfortunately the only thing separating me from being one of these people at the moment is my word because USPS lost my loaner Darwin months ago and I am still waiting on the insurance claim. Luckily Brandon is a good guy and I probably still have an active warranty in case I need it but I really hate being in this position.

Sometimes i will be having problems & someone will address the issue without even having to post, i am amazed how helpful our group continues to be. It seems all the shipping companies, USPS included, have been passing the point of incompetence in recent years. Case in point: I went to take the trash out yesterday and discovered a pile of boxes on the deck delivered by USPS (one of which was sent with signature required for delivery). Never heard the mailman arrive, even though we were both home all day. The real kicker of this is that there is one more package that the gf is waiting on and one of those "sorry we missed you" notes was left in the mailbox . . . WTF!? So they can drop all those other boxes, including one that required a signature and never got one, without any notification whatsoever, but they can't drop off that one remaining box with them?

Even considering all that, based on all of my recent experiences I still find USPS to be light years more reliable and secure than UPS or FedEx . . . sad, ain't it?

Panky,

Don't feel so bad, I have an ongoing claim with USPS for a year now, and it's over $400 worth of e-cig stuff :-( not only did they admit to loosing or wrongly delivering my pkg ( mailman without a doubt took this one ) I even confronted him on it and he is a smoker and I went to the postmaster, then also dealt with some postal inspectors ( shall we say that postman no longer is a postal worker now ) I went back to the postmaster, actually postmistress now week after week for months, after doing so for about 6 months, I went to the post office one day to see where we where at (8 months ) and only to find out that she tells me all my paper work was lost and no one knew anything, she filed a whole new claim at 8 months and now it is going on over a year that I have been dealing with this dam claim, what a pain in the Azz, I now call my local post office and ask for the postmaster/mistress once a week, and I rarely get through because she doesn't want to take my call. I have to mail a pkg tomorrow, should be interesting to see what she tells me this time when I go to the USPS tomorrow :-x
