Since mine probably will get shot down by the moderators over there, spoke my mind anyway. I'll post it here for you all...
"While I no longer own a Darwin, I feel that the above poster's comments are more than unwarranted. The Darwin is an amazing device that is as of this posting, the only variable power PV on the market (the kick isn't out for mass consumption yet). The unit is very well made, beautifully machined, sports an info packed and useful display (the new version is even better), and is super easy to use (even a king can do it). The previous poster has a personal axe to grind that has spilled over here from ECF. People should take what he has to say with a gain of salt!
As I said before, I no longer own my Darwin. While I think it is probably the most innovative PV to ever come to market, to me, it does have its shortcomings. Namely, for someone who works outdoors in a rough environment, I was limited to dripping or cartos that required me to have to carry a bottle of juice with me. Not practical. I prefer tanks as I can fill them in the morning and go all day. While the Darwin works well with tanks, it is not pocket friendly with them. That is the ONLY reason I sold it.
I have no 1st hand experience as to Evolv's customer service, as my unit functioned perfectly the entire time I owned it; I know people who have for various reasons had to send theirs in for repair. Service was prompt, and returned quickly."
