Instead of finding what fits the Darwin.... Let's make the Darwin fit our accessories. Some could do a co-op to build an angled adaptor. I drew up a picture if anyone wants to see. Or maybe there is a way we could ask Brandon to try making the arm of the Darwin telescopic? It could screw out to fit! :) ImageUploadedByTapatalk1336943010.369135.jpg

It's been done before. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/nhaler/151096-darwin-evolv-1192.html#post5663769

Now that telescopic idea is great. That would be pretty awesome.

Drew mentioned a few pages back that tank lovers need to be on the newsletter list or something along those lines, so unless he was talking about the 3.5ml tanks from smoketech, there might be something in the works?

i already built a prototype. I call it the "Jager adapter"

Works well for me. Still a few things i would need to change about it, but it is solid and pretty cheap to make.

Id love to talk to someone who knows how to mass-produce things or at least do bigger runs. I just have what i can purchase and find.

Here are some pictures using my Odysseus on the Darwin.

Question/thoughts (keep in mind I've never seen a Darwin in person so if I sound stupid, it's at least partially due to that!):

The telescoping connector idea sounds good, maybe with a set-screw so that it stays at the position you want?

IMHO it'd be a great idea for Evolv to make the actual connector piece removeable/replaceable, and then to make 3 different shaft lengths (standard, and medium and large extensions). I would imagine the connector could be bolted right down the center which would allow for relatively easy swap outs (would require a screw driver though). Or maybe it uses a connector like used on air hoses/compressors, which would require no tools (but not sure it can easily be built small enough?)

I love Jager's solution, but in a perfect world end-users wouldn't have to build their own add-ons (it's great that they CAN, but it'd be even better if the ability to swap out from carto to tank was already built in!).

I've often times thought a telescope would be awesome.

I don't know about swapping out arms. It would be easily done, but also leads IMHO to a multitude of other problems.

One of the rumors out there is that the next batch will have a sealed arm. Truth be told this, I think is the most important improvement that they could make. I think a telescopic arm fits well with that.

To my understanding, the Darwin arms have been internally sealed for over a year now. I still use sealed 510 to 510 adapters on all my Darwins (sort of belt and suspenders approach). Still need to be careful with juice as it can get into the button and wheel. Juice getting into the button can potentially gunk up the internal button and cause it to get sticky. Juice into the wheel can potentially gunk up the pot. Overall, the Darwin is actually very well sealed. This IS an electronics device so extra care should ALWAYS be taken with juice or any moisture but Evolv has gone to great lengths to make this device as juice proof as they can (without a complete re-design).

I love my Darwins and Kicks and have sold off all my other devices. Now, I am 100% "EVOLV'd" :p
