I bought it used but previous owner said it was a few months old.

14 hours would seem right to me. I always charge mine before the cutoff and that was shorter than 14 hours. your batts should be good for a long time. I wouldnt send it in. good success with it!

Ok. I just remember reading people's posts about getting 2+ days of moderate vaping between charges.
"days" is not an accurate measurement. And it is NOT a good idea to run to cut-off on a regular basis. Even tho the Darwin cut-off is at a very safe level, continuously running to cut-off can reduce the overall lifespan (number of charge cycles) and can also potentially reduce use time per charge cycle.

Those posting "days" are doing themselves no service and may be using higher Ωs (uses less amps) and/or may have less aggregate button time. There really is no way to compare against another person - diff gear attached, diff aggregate button time, diff battery maintenance, etc. You do not know how the devices was maintained by the previous owner (could have been run to cut-off regularly). There was a brief period (I think) were 1600 mah batts may have been used too (not sure but the 1800 mah may have been unobtainable for that brief period).

Bottom line, 14 hours out of a single charge is still very good. I'd just encourage you to pay attention to the gauge. It is NOT to scale as it hangs at full for a few hours. If it gets to half, is not half and if you plan to continue to use it that day - best to thro onto a charger for as long as possible. These batts prefer to be topped off and doing so will best serve the life of your batteries. I do not see 14 hours as a reason to send to Evolv.

Ok. I just remember reading people's posts about getting 2+ days of moderate vaping between charges.

There are so many variables in how we all vape that there can really be no standard length of time or volume of juice vaped that applies accurately to all of us. Even just considering the ohms of your carto/atty you can't do more than estimate roughly a very wide range of time. The amount of time the button is being pressed is the hardest to measure and probably most important. For example, I get noticeably less vaping time/volume with some gear than I do with other items of the same resistance, simply because I am activating the device more or for longer at a time. Case in point: I can use 1.5 ohm dual coils most of the day at around 10 watts, but running my G-Tank at 7.8 watts with a roughly 1.5 ohm coil I tend to get 10 hours max, both using about the same amount of juice consumption. The only thing I can see to give this result is the drastic difference in the way I vape with each, 'cos I have significantly longer button activations with the G-Tank

Hope that makes sense, but 14 hours really isn't bad at all. When I first got mine, I could get two days out of it, but I was also using drastically different gear on it back then (mostly 2.8 ohms CE2s at the low end of the wattage range)

Yeah as has been noted there are so many factors, I get really good battery life, all day long easily 16 hours, and I'm usually at about 40% or 60% battery life when I recharge, that said, I only use SR Boge cartos, or SR 801 Fusions, I vape about 6 mils a day, but I take a lot of short drags rather than those huge 12 and 15 second drags I see so many people take, my drag is usually like count to 3, exhale, repeat, then I set my pv down.

Man, I wish I could take little toots like that, I just cant get a satisfying enough TH with the short ones, for some reason when I am at work it doesnt matter how long of a drag I take, the throat hit is just not satisfying to me, but the second I get in my car or back home, the throat hit is satisfying to me. It really is quite strange now that I think about it. Usually when I let someone try my pv for the first time they end up choking because they do not know how to vape yet, then I proceed to take a 15 second pull and suck that TH right to the back of my throat without a hiccup. Sounds like I need a Darwin huh? ;)

So I may or may not have won the auction for the Darwin. I guess there was a glitch in the auction system that would allow a lower bid to win over a higher bid. I placed my bid for 360 dollars with 46 seconds left and then someone bid with 30 seconds left for 355 and for some reason he won the auction. I guess this situation came up a couple days ago so the web guy removed the bid but now it happened right before the end of the auction so I am waiting to hear some news about it. I normally would not pay so much but I look at it as 240 for the Darwin and 120 for a great cause. Fingers crossed that it gets sorted out. Sorry if this is not the greatest place to post about this, I just wanted to share it and wasnt sure where to do so.

Yeah I decided that it was worth it to pay the extra money especially for what its going to. I had a major injury(which is obviously not anyway comparable to cancer) and did not have insurance, and I know it is very hard to deal with. Especially with how expensive medical care has become.

I saw that Darwin up there, as well as a Kick and a DNA. I also saw that Brandon won one of the auctions, too. I bid on a couple of things, but didn't win anything as my funds are not in the best of shape at the moment and I was quickly outbid. I did make a paypal donation, though :) Glad to see it was a nice turnout overall and there was some really nice stuff up there for raffle/auction

Thank you to ALL who participated. The Help Twygg event was EPIC and I think it went on for over 24 hours. One woman shaved half her head for a $500 donation, another E-TV host (Gandalf/Santa look) shaved his beard and hair on cam for another big donation. One of the hosts WAXED his CHEST (YES, on cam too) for an even bigger donation!!!

Twygg himself got on cam, chatted with us and shared his heartfelt emotions. This event was completely unprecedented! I think we raised over $25,000!!! Hopefully the final tally will be posted soon. The entire event was recorded and is available for watching: All Videos Video Gallery by ElixirTV.com (please watch using discretion - uncensored and intended for over 18 age audiences).

This community is absolutely AMAZING! So many, who met on the internet, all with primarily one thing in common - Tobacco Harm Reduction - coming together in friendship and supportiveness to help a single one of us fighting for his life. So many wonderfully generous donations and even more generous bidding, presented in a fun and entertaining format (completely drama free) by a group of extremely dedicated/generous event organizers, all to help one of our very own. There were a couple of minor technical glitches in the auction process but nothing serious - none of this team had ever even tried to do anything like this before. I am touched to my core.

Once again - THANK YOU TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE Help Twygg EVENT. TWYGG is an amazingly nice and generous person. He IS one of US! His own comments, when he was on cam, proved even further just how deserving he is of all the love, support and caring demonstrated both during this event and going forward thru his fight against cancer.

I believe the donations link will remain open for some time so there is still time to participate!

Anyway, hope you did get it in the end. You've been waiting a while, right?
Yup for a little bit:( I got a bug in my .... that i wanted a Darwin at the beginning of March so I am more than ready :) I still have not heard from the site yet so I am a bit anxious but I am doing my best to not bug anyone since they are all doing this out of the kindness of their heart. I am glad to hear that everything was a success.

Somebody mentioned elsewhere that the guys are going to get a little sleep before they contact the winners (can't say I blame 'em), so I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya
Thanks so much for passing that on, I was starting to get bummed out but you have renewed my hope :) I know that there should be a limited number of Darwins available soon but man would it be nice to not have to stress out that I wont be online at the time. You are not kidding abo0ut them gettin some sleep, they deserve it. I did break down and send a message, if I had seen your post before then I probably would not have.

I got 14 hours of run time yesterday on my Darwin before the battery was drained and would not fire.
{snip}
I ran it with a 2.5ohm Cisco 510 set at 8.6 watts.
{/snop}

jifjifjif, I am happy if a device can produce voltage as long as I can stay awake.

{snippage}
After reading about the stellar battery life on the Darwin, i kind of expected more life.
{/snoppage}

I would not discharge any batt until zero. nor expect more battery life, by any means! If I were asked (and I was not) I would use a 3 ohm or higher atty/carto.

Well everyone, I can finally say the words "I have a Darwin on the way!" I am very excited, it is a brand new Darwin donated from Evolv, and I contacted Brandon before I bid asking if it would have the normal warranty and he informed me that it absolutely will come with the same warranty as one bought from Nhaler. I am grinning :D
