Granted, I only own a ggtb and an ego type pv, but ill say I can't imagine a vape better than I get with the Darwin.

So right you are, krisb....There just isn't a better vape out there currently. I keep trying to find one, but the Darwin is simply the best available PV right now. The closest competitors, the ProVari or the Precious LV2 are both awesome mods, but until they start using power regulation instead of voltage regulation, they are fighting an uphill battle. That's why everyone is hanging such high expectations on the Eclipse EQ. Hard to say yet, whether it can meet them though.

Since he sent me the sample of the hv along too, I've been mixing the two together. But, I do have a bottle of 48mg nic, and just ordered a bunch of DIY stuff to start on trying to actually save with this hobby, lol.

As far as getting a 2nd Darwin, I thought about doing that, or getting a provari. Also thought about waiting to see if evolv comes out with another mod. Too many options and kinda stuck in indecision.

I purchased five 510-510 adapters from another vendor thinking they'd be like Drew's but they're actually the charging adapters and my Darwin doesn't like them. I only use adapters for 801s now and when I feel like it with a tank.

Today the little leather camera bag the Darwin was in also contained my car keys, Blackberry and pass card and was plopped unceremoniously wherever I landed. When I unscrewed the Clearo it had been wearing (to change flavors) the tube lifted straight off and juice flowed efficiently to my pants.

Fortunately, I was in the car on my way home and kinda deserved it for throwing the poor thing around all day. I screwed on a tank without an adapter (while driving) and without having an opportunity to thoroughly swab down the Darwin so it was a juicy mess. The MAP appeared to be okay but I was paranoid 5ml of juice would add itself to the existing oily stain so I put on a stainless E2 for the rest of the trip. Got home, inspected the tank in its jar and - sure enough - no leakage. The tank is stuck in one position and there is no place except the device for any leakage to flow so it's a good idea to use Drew's type of adapter but it isn't a mandatory accessory, imo.

I just had that one lower ohm clearo left and it was really doing a great job with my daily vape before I abused it. This just confirms I (ymmv) have to stick with the stainless or black even though I loved seeing the juice level.

That color wheel is power regulating and not voltage regulating? I'm an Evolv fan for life now. They're gonna have a helluva time getting rid of me, poor things, but I'm interested in the new and shiny just cuz.

Ok, there mutt. You POP your head in once in awhile, throw a bit of innuendo around....are you looking to be stalked? Haha, just not fair! Your always on the inside and I'm standing in the cold with my nose pressed to the window! (Wow, that did sound a tad stalkerish, huh?)

Keep the curtains right where they are, though....

Changing the subject here, this is for you SK...You win.... I have seen the light...Today was the first day I took my ProVari to work and left my Darwin home.....Never, ever again! I hate lugging and changing batteries more than I thought I did! I forget how light and compact the Darwin is, compared to the Vari. I forgot or took for granted too many things about the Darwin. So while you were mad at yours, I have been feeling the love for mine, all over again. I had a business trip this afternoon and ran home, grabbed my Darwin, left my new Black Vari at home and headed for the airport. Darwin and me are just hangin out in a Vegas Resort tonight, about to do some dinner, go to bed early and then onto SoCal tomorrow morning and back home in NY by dinner time...gah

See how quickly one adapts to the no-batteries thing?? I swear, it's life changing. And, check this out... I could fit the Darwin in that little case with a phone, keys, card and have room left over...oh and did I mention.... twirl it by it's dongle thingy with my pinky (with a clearomizer on board...I. Am. An. Idiot.) And, as I was belting up to join rush hour my battery indicator hadn't moved. Love, thy name is Darwin.

Happy travels, friend. Your ProVari twins will be waiting with freshly charged batts when you get back home.

I got my darwin last week. Used it everyday. It was an uncomplicated and consistent unit. I came to really enjoy using it and was excited about using it each day. But today it wouldn't turn on. Don't know why. I was careful with it, I wiped up juice as soon as it trickled, I kept it charged and secure. I'm curious as to what happened. I never dropped it or did anything to physically damage it. Maybe juice got in it or there's a loose connection? Who knows... I wish I could find out what happened so i could avoid it next time.

Evolv is sending me a new one. Should be in by the end of the week. I'm glad the darwin is warrantied, i just hope that i'll get more than a week out of it. I've seen posts where users have had to send their darwin back, i wonder how many people send their darwins back without posting. i hope broken darwins aren't common and that the majority of users won't see any problems for a long time to come.

Middle of nowhere
From talking to Evolv it usually just what you said. It got juice in it. Just needs to dry out.
Did you ever turn it off? Did you put the arm down with anything still attached for any length of time?

I never put my Darwin down with something attached for along period of time.
I never turn mine off.

No, One Vari is now sold to finance the Backup Darwin Fund! Although I may wait until a Blue one comes out, lol....Black ProVari is a keeper though.
