I'm pretty sure mine is not charging? been on charger fo 12 hrs. and batt is sill only 1/2 full

How are you charging it? By that I mean, is screen active whilst charging?

Mine came with screen active and I had to ask a friend if screen was supposed to go off. She said "yes, just turn it until it clicks." I did that and my screen went blank. However, I had charged it prior to this knowledge, so my screen was active whilst charging.

Not to be mean Cigarbabe but every single one of your posts hurt my eyes very much. You need to learn how to type with proper spaces between each paragraph, and use a font that won't destroy us when we try and help you.

A space between each thought lets us actually see what you are saying easy. Good luck!

Also you should post a picture of the unit with all the dents and scratches so we can see what to look for.

laurel099 - As far as charging it goes, if it is plugged into the mini-usb, and that is plugged into an outlet, it doesn't matter if the Darwin is on/off it will be charging.

If the Darwin is on and plugged in it works as a USB pass-through while charging the unit.

Thanks for the "manual" of sorts, Drew. It did address some of my questions. Woot! Thanks to murf, too, for answering the charging question.

Now, I am going to go dig out a lr510 atty, std 510 atty, a lr510 carto and a std 510 carto to try on this thing. I think I have it set right for the lr306 (I like it at least, so it works for me).

I do have one question though - and this strictly comes from my ignorance of ohms, watts, volts, etc. - but I did notice that when I put the lr306 at 8.5 it is a nice vape. I tried to go up and down in small increments to see if things changed any. I put it at 7.0 and the volts still read the same (3.6v) as at 8.5? I went up to 9.4 and the voltage did change but only to 3.7v.

When I first got it, I spun wheel to lowest setting but now I am thinking (based on what I have been reading) that this is not a good idea with an lr atty?

*off to hunt down other atties*

Just to answer Mama...You cant really go below the minmum Voltage of the unit which is 3.7....Although the board will try to do it , it will only go as low as the Voltage or charge available...For instance if I put an LR 306 and turn it all the way down right now , it reads 3.3 V...But I have been using this for 2 days....So im not really sure exactly how low it may go...Im going to talk to the Evolv Engineer and try and get a clearer description....Thanks
Drew

Drew can the Darwin be charged using USB port or powered USB hub?

My unit arrived with no scratches or nicks. It would be nice to at least have the battery go from 1 bar to all bars while charging like many cell phones do but I will just plug it in before going to bed just like I do my cell phone. Like anything else I can put the Darwin under the microscope and will find things that could be improved but the fact that this device has the ability to run LR,SR,HR attys and can be adjusted even while vaping delivering a consistent hit everytime makes it perfect in my book. Money well spent!!

That would be awesome! I went with 8.5 setting for now and it reads 3.6v every time. I am fairly certain I charged the battery all the way, too.

Other than just pure ignorance things, I love it so far. Vaping like a steamroller (and, no, not the Cleveland kind - rofl). Woot!

Still haven't attempted to remove film cover thing, but will when I have really steady hands. Thankful for the needle tip.

:p

Setting 7.9 with a standard/regular resistance 510 atty from Sailebao = 5volts

Now, I am having fun with this thing. Had a dude Skype with me to explain it my kind of terms. lol He said imagine a garden hose with the water turned on, now put thumb over hole at the end of hose - water flow changes, etc. Anyway, it made it all click in my lil brain. Thank Gawd. I was seriously stressed out.

Weeeeeeee!

Apparently I fried a Dripomizers:2. 510 Stainless Steel while using the unit as a pass-through device after about 12 hours.

Anytime I hit the button and no matter what setting I am on, that dripomizer reads 12.9V 0.0A 0.0Ω

Also note that this dripomizer took about 15 minutes to properly align and screw in the Darwin without damaging the soft brass connecting threads, which personally I think is a very very large design flaw.

The Darwin has accepted any 510 thus far I have tried, but very few of them make me feel like I am just destroying the brass coupling when I screw it in and have literally taken up to 15 minutes of finesse and baby turns.

If you start to feel some resistance when screwing in the atomizer, STOP immediately, unscrew it, and properly realign.

I don't mean to bash because this is still the best mod I have ever seen, just wanted to address these problems and get information out there.

Also note: the dripomizer I used was only $4.00 and possibly the cheapest one I could find just to test out. I will be going for the surer ones from now on.

Thank's Drew & co.
