I'm a Darwinian!

Before anyone asks... That holster is an Ultrafire mini flashlight holster I had laying around. I glanced at it and thought "hmmmmmm". Tried it out, and it fits the Darwin perfectly- protects the screen, prevents accidentally moving the adjustment wheel, and I can still push the button thru it
thumbs.gif
. Added a carabiner to it and I can just clip it to a belt loop to carry with me.

It is very snug, but not too bad getting out. I push up from the bottom until enough is sticking out that I can grab the body without pulling on the arm. Takes about 2 seconds. And if I do want to adjust the watts, I just push up from the bottom a little and the wheel & window become exposed.

What wattage are you all finding works best for you? My favorite juices seem to be best at 7w- which is 4.6v according to the display. Which makes perfect sense to me since I always felt my eGo ran too cool for my taste, and my 5v seemed too hot. So 4.6v seems to be my sweet spot.

My wife recently bought a Turbo AV VV. And 4.6 is too hot for her. Her sweet spot is right at 4.3.

I'm finding the 8.5 is perfect for me and its convient to find on the wheel. But I'm likin it right at 8.5 seems very similar to my near 5v on 2.0ohm atties. But its just seems to be smoother.

I finaly tried carto's again since almost 4 months ago. I always felt compelled to keep toppin them off and then they get nasty and spit at you. Bu I'm takin the wifes advice on how to use em and these 801 carto's(the ones drew sells that take 510 driptip) rock. And I'm finding I can go a few hours between top-offs. Almost as good as using an atty but easier to be able to just take a hit without drippin every time. May take the place of my feeders but still in beta mode with it..lol

Listen to your wife :)

My cartos last me a couple hours. But yeah, you have to be careful about filling them or they do spit at you. Last night while using the Darwin and testing out setting, apparently I put it a bit too high and had a carto spit a very HOT splatter on to my tongue- OUCH!!! I quickly turned the power down. My tongue still has a burnt/numb spot on it LOL

Drew recommended some Jumbo KR808 cartos to me to use with the Darwin (along with an adapter). He said they hold a bit more juice. So I ordered a pack of those and the adapter yesterday to try them out since I trust Drew's opinion. I'll let everyone know my impressions when I get them in and test them out.

For some reason my fav atty was a4.5 ohm 901 that I never found use for. Just smooth with tons of taste and vapor that normaly even on a 6v device I found lacking, needed 7.4 and I rarely did that.

Used it all day yesterday without alternating pv's and the battery bar was more than half charged.
Kinda like being able to use it all day and then charge it while I sleep just like a cellphone. And since its right on my night stand plugged in
I can just grab it, take a toot, and let it charge. Pretty convienient. Hoping evolv comes up with a feeder using this technology.

I'm really so happy I decided to go with this mod. Looking at all the other options I was considering, I really feel like I dodged the bullet and went with the best right off the bat.

I really want one of those holsters, too :) I'm off to google now.

Couple more photos that might help you find the holster

Yeah the cartos ain't too bad so far I've already ordered another 20 of them. I've got a stock pile of varios atties that should last ten years. Now to
start using some of the cartos I've stocked up on in my ego days and never used. Evry time I find something that works good I load up then find something different..lol the wife never would use atties so she's already got at least a hundred different cartos in her tackle box but prefers them 801s.
I was gonna try the knew 808s too but didn't, they sound like a good one though!

Yeah I am using 808 cartos on my Darwin and find them to be bliss.....they perform better on the Darwin than they ever did on any other mod. Throat hit is awesome, flavor great. I need some jumbos now too though. In the regular 808's I have to top them off way too often compared to any other device I have used....not a complaint at all because they are an absolutely wonderful vape on the Darwin.

Nice to hear good things about the 808's. I've been using only Boge 510's. They work great, so I have been hesitant about changing.

My main complaint (other then having to refill multiple times per day LOL) is that they quickly become hard to draw. New out of the box are so easy to draw. And within a day or 2, they become hard to draw which seems to have a negative affect on my vaping pleasure. And then, in the trash they go. Hoping to get a bit more life from the 808's.

OH
I have occasionally used plain reg. Cartos, but mostly dripped with attys. So many cartos have come on the market over the months that I would like to try a few to find a go to when I don't want to dedicate 5mls of juice to fill my tank. I want one that hold a good amount, great flavor, don't really care about th too much, but lots of vapor. Suggestions?

Its been 2.5 hours since I filled this 801mega and finaly notice the flavor drop off.

Tanks work good till half way through and your stuck with that flavor.

Always liked atties for more flavor and ability to chang it up instantly.

.... these 801s are great 2.5 hours of delicious chainvaping between fills
and able to top off with diff flav at any time........I'm sold!
