The Darwin From Evolv!!!

Ok, so mine doesn't have cute little hearts all over it, but it does have my new drip shield on my 901! And for those of us who have had ours long enough for the brass to tarnish, I used Brasso on it today and it made it look brand new.

NICE....I ordered the same Drip Shield for the Darwin, and some new Nhaler Drip tips also......going to be wonderful.....

I found what they call a shorty 510-801 on madvapes, it looks like the stealth 510-901 that I have. Are all the DSE 801 attys on various sites about the same? If so I'll order a couple adapters and attys from the same place to save shipping.

So far all the adapters I've gotten from madvapes, Good Prophets, COV and AvidVaper have worked with all the 801s I've tried (from those same vendors). I have 801 cartos coming from Nhaler, btw. I can't wait!

For those that are wondering, the drip shield does fit on 510's and 801's also. I haven't tried anything besides these 3 yet. SK, you could almost drive over to pickup up your Drip shield...lol!

Yes, you are probably being a little too cautious and black ones covered by black sticky paper are tough depending on the manufacturer. Throw it in the fridge for 15 minutes and unpeel the paper!

Help me Drew! I ordered my Darwin Friday night and got shipping notice but I'm probably one of the six that you said was over ordered, it's Thursday and I haven't recieved the Darwin yet. Please tell me everything is OK. By the way sewknitty I ordered some adapters and 808 attys and a couple 801 cartos to try on my hopefully in transit Darwin.

So glad that a Darwin will be coming my way....did alot of research between the Darwin and the "soon to be released Eclipse EQ" and it turns out (at least for me) that the Darwin is the way to go. I say this after finally getting to see an actual EQ in operation......Ease of use ( of the Darwin ) jumped out at me after seeing this Video......

I just recieved my order of 10 Dual coil cartos from Drew. Using them on the Darwin:

1) First these things are thirsty little beasts. Initial fill took 50 drops of 80pg/20vg juice. Vaped about 10 pulls and filled with another 8 drops!
2) This is a very low resistance carto. While it states 1.5, the two I have tried ohmed out at 1.3. Checked on the Darwin, Provari and Multimeter. I would not reccomend using these on a eGo/Riva batt. If you do you are asking for trouble. They are best suited for a true 3.7V Mod of a VV/VW unit like the Darwin
3) At 8.4 watts the Darwin is hitting the carto w/3.4V. Any setting below 8W and the voltage bottoms out at 3.3v. So even dialing down to 4.2W you will still get 3.3V or 8W to the coils no matter what the wattage reading on the Darwin. This is normal since 3.3 for the batt is min voltage.
4) The cartos hit nice. A little stiffer draw than a standard Boge LR 2.0 but not much. Flavor is there and vapor is big.
5) Sweetspot for me seems to be around 9 - 9.2watts on these.
6) Life remains to be seen. I usually get about 20 - 30mls through a carto before it goes to the carto netherworld.
7) If life expectancy is similar to other cartos I will buy them again

Plan of attack when it gets here:

Charge battery (once)

Attach 510 cartomizer with Nhaler juice.
Attach new Nhaler Drip tip.
VAPE MY HEAD OFF.....

Repeat using a 510 atty w/ a new Nhaler drip tip (different color)

Repeat using a BE112 atty w/ a new cart of Nhaler juice

Sound like a plan????
