But hey nothing i can do but wait. thanks all
If it makes you feel any better we all went through it. Damn I set an alarm clock the time I got mine and overslept. I made it just under the wire with two left. Man what a terrible way to get out of bed. My wife thought I was nuts running to the computer in my underwear to order a MOD. Hang in there it will come and you will be overjoyed when it arrives
And are we going to see a pic of THAT morning?
LOL-ROF and maybe a new name for L2S --- "and they call him the streak......er"
Love that, Retird! Perfect! The F5 Streaker.
Well if I took the time to get dressed I would have missed out on the Darwin. So it was worth it. I do not care how much the wife and kids made fun of me----I scored a Darwin.
I remember pm'ing you that morning after not seeing you online and thinking "oh crap, he overslept and is gonna miss it!"
Just received the holsters from Drew today for Darwin. The larger one is better for belt, covers the entire Darwin except the atty stays out (and can close to "off"). The sides are stretchy elastic so you can use it in the case. The belt loop offers two ways to put it on. One way is full belt loop and the second (on top of first) is also a belt loop but snaps and the snap is surrounded by some Velcro. So you can leave the holster attached to your belt and remove Darwin or you can snap the holster to your belt and remove the entire holster and use device in the holster.
The smaller one covers only about half the Darwin and has a loop to which you can use a carabiner to attach to belt or bag or...But it will probably swing around. At $6 for either - it is a no brainer to get one. Nice job DREW!!
PV Carrying Case
Just thought to update this post. Looking closer at the smaller holster, it also has an opening for a belt so it can either hang off the plastic loop/ring or be more securely used as a regular belt holster. However, because the small holster only covers the bottom half of the device, when worn on a belt the device will ride about 2" higher on your side (about half of the device will sit above your belt-line) compared to the larger holster (on which the top of the device will sit at just about the top of your belt-line).
The smaller one lacks he covering flap that the larger one has. The covering flap really holds the device in place with no chance of the device falling out. The smaller holster is less secure because it lacks that over-flap and only holds the bottom half of the device. But, the smaller one is much more snug around the device so it still does hold the Darwin fairly well.
I think that the design of the smaller holster is better for keeping the device easily reachable/findable/accessible in a bag (clipped to a loop in the bag) and the larger one is probably better for using on a belt.
The device can be used with either holster/case on the device. Personally, I still think I will use the larger one mostly and probably leave the holster attached to my belt (removing the Darwin for use each time).
No word on the next batch of Darwins, Drew?
