Hi DP, welcome to the tangled land of Darwinia! It's funny, we will type pages and pages about our favorite device, but cut down typing our nicks to just a few letters... I am usually nano or NV.

You are an unusual breed of new user here, in that you have already been pre-Darwinated. What would it mean if my favorite color is black? I am not a Goth, nor a James Dean wannabe. If I am up for a sales job, I will remember your advice, however.

I think black is my favorite color for a lot of things cars, mods, computers, phones, clothes...but I actually always said blue since I was a kid. Don't know why. Black is Dignified and impressive without being showy, Black people want to give the appearance of mystery, but their preference may also indicate a suppression of desires and worldly aims, suggesting hidden depths and inner longings.

So yeah, it means your a crying in the corner emo. Sorry.

A bit. Still not my style.

Welcome to D'win land, Dan Patrick, AKA D(og) P(ark). Congrats on your new toy!

Love the color RED, btw, but my color is black:

Black is associated with power, elegance, formality, and mystery.

Black is a mysterious color associated with fear and the unknown (black holes). It usually has a negative connotation (blacklist, black humor, 'black death'). Black denotes strength and authority; it is considered to be a very formal, elegant, and prestigious color (black tie, black Mercedes). In heraldry, black is the symbol of grief.

Black gives the feeling of perspective and depth, but a black background diminishes readability. When designing for a gallery of art or photography, you can use a black or gray background to make the other colors stand out. Black contrasts well with bright colors. Combined with red or orange – other very powerful colors – black gives a very aggressive color scheme.

And, it makes you look thinner. That's all we really need to know.

How do you guys clean your attys? ive tried a few ways but i think i foudn the one for me thats easy... dump a little bit of baking soda into the atty, pour in some vinegar and cover the atty end, it will fizzle and bumble up like that volcano science project you did in 4th grade and come out the battery end, i did that twice, poured some lemon juice in to kill the vinegar smell rinsed with hot water and rubber banded to a fan for 2 hours to dry now its working like new. what are your methods?

To clean an atty, just do anything but exactly what you just did! That sounds almost caustic. But I know you were just kidding. Just let them soak for an hour or overnight in Everclear, use a sonic cleaner if you have one. Blow out thru the tread end and put in 10 drops of no nic no flavor PG/VG mix and put it up. Always rotate your batteries and atties. get a label and number them, or just vape a Darwin.

So whats lower than dog crap, the (D)og (P)ark the place they crap on. Great....I guess that is going to stick now. At least I do have a dog.

I toss them in an ultrasonic cleaner with PGA and run it for about 10 minutes or so :D The only problem is the amount of PGA it uses but I just save it and run it through a coffee filter to get a few more uses out of it.

Does the filter get rid of the smell and taste of the juice that was left in the atomizer? I end up with quite a bit of juice left in my PGA, and it helps to remove the juice if you use fresh. Perhaps you could put an atomizer in a pill bottle then in water in the cleaner? Wonder if that would have the same effect with less PGA?

I've only buoiled them up to now, but I may try this method. It sounds similar to using coke (or diet coke). The carbonation is supposed to help remove the gunk that builds up on the coil.

ime, I already abbreviate your nick as ime because, well, because it's the first three letters, it's already there, and I don't type numbers well! For longer nicks, such as 'gutterboy', it takes time to establish a pattern here....

For cartos, I have been using the Cartomizerfillinator by new Darwinian, Vapian. I flush with 97% ISO in a big syringe (30 seconds), then let it dry. In the recent hot summer, I like ISO because water could mold, and ISO evaporates much faster than water. I used to boil, but I was always tempted to throw in an egg, and believe me, Bobba's Boiled Eggs are not something you want to take to the Sunday church dinner. or anywhere else.

I can type Vapian easily, somehow. It's one of those things that roll off the fingers easily, if you touch-type.

There are some words that I love to type. The word 'type' is one of them. It's so symmetrical. Or something. It would be more symmetrical if it were spelled typq. :)

Dp not caustic at all, it just creates carbon dioxide, and bubbles up, its like the coke robo is talking about but coke has sugar and cooring and all sorts of stuff. vinegar and baking soda is non toxic way of cleaning anythign in the house, you just wouldnt think so because of the vinegar smell. come on man, you dont remember doign that scince project?

My Gooseneck arrived this afternoon. I went for the shortest, 3" one, but with the GTank it's still way too long.
The Darwin is an odd shape as it is using normal attys, but with the gooseneck and tank it looks even odder. So I'll probably stick with tube mods for the GTank and continue to buy cartomizers for the Darwin.

Now that I have a Darwin, I don't.
I vape off a few drops of a high acid liquid (hot cinnamon) dripped directly on the coils, dry-burn a few times, and blow them out good if I need change flavors on one.

With Darwin I can just tune the heat up a little over time till one finally gives up then use a new one. For the time and trouble of messing with them and chemicals, it pays for itself fast ;)

Back when I only used an eGo battery...yep, a good white vinegar soak then a few trips through the ultrasonic cleaner could make them live a little longer.

Vodka Vodka Vodka. If you have no attys to clean, it still comes in handy ;)

Blow out first, thru the connector end, as that keeps the airflow in the correct direction and puts less stress on the atty (easier to get juice out the drip tip end than the small center pin hole).

Soak in WODKA, shake it up a bit, and when the soak is done (an hour is great), lift the atty and scoop the vodka thru it like a light flush. Blow out and dry. I sometimes do a light dry burn if the coil is really bad. Sometimes I use the U/S cleaner with hot water.

I have tried every method of cleaning that I could either think of or that I read here on ECF. I can't even tell you what works, IF any of them work. Some people simply blow out the old juice and continue using them. I like to clean mine, but I think it's personal preference.

As far as atty life goes, in 8 months and 29 attys, 4 of mine have died. And yes, I do rotate them.

I like the idea of numbering the baggies. I started sorting them by connectors. Then by ohms. Then by usage. Then by color. It gets a bit tiresome and confusing. But I do vape more with all the struggling to figure it out, so all's good.

Oh, just kidding on the color.

I may try the "attys by number". Like it.
